This article mainly adopts empirical research methods to verify the core hypothesis of the theory of relationship identity structure, which is "relationship identity structure determines state behavior".The main research question is whether the state’s relationship behavior is determined by a specific relationship identity structure.Based on the criteria for selecting empirical research cases, the relationship between the United States and Egypt from 2001 to 2005 was selected as a case study.Firstly,it is necessary to confirm whether there is a relationship identity structure between the United States and Egypt during this time period,as well as what kind of relationship identity structure exists. This needs to be confirmed from official documents released by the two countries and leaders’ public statements. After clarifying the relationship identity structure and determining the intensity of identity, the relationship behavior between the United States and Egypt is predicted based on the theory of relationship identity structure, and then the actual behavior of the United States and Egypt is examined,If the two are consistent,it indicates that the theory can be verified. If they are not consistent,it indicates that the theoretical hypothesis is not valid. The conclusion of this article is that the core hypothesis of the theory of relational identity structure can be verified, and the theory has explanatory power. |
