As a global phenomenon, corruption has aroused great concern of governments all over the world.Extradition,as a mechanism of international criminal judicial cooperation, can effectively combat corruption crimes and arrest fugitives, and is a necessary measure to maintain the judicial image. Therefore,it is of great significance to build an efficient extradition mechanism to analyze the problems existing in the international cooperation mechanism of extradition based on international conventions such as the United Nations Convention against Corruption and bilateral treaties.Extradition,as a means of international criminal judicial cooperation,is helpful for governments to hunt down transnational criminals and effectively combat corruption. The improvement and implementation of the legal mechanism of international cooperation on extradition is of great significance for maintaining the international legal order and constructing a just and fair international social environment.Examine the limitations and dilemmas existing in extradition practice. These restrictions include the principle of international extradition, the "one-sided" signing of bilateral treaties and the cumbersome process of extradition.Restrictions on the principle of international extradition, such as non-extradition of the death penalty and non-extradition of national nationals, may become obstacles to extradition cooperation. In addition, the unbalanced signing of bilateral treaties leads to the unequal status of some countries in extradition cooperation, which affects the effect of extradition cooperation. The complexity of extradition procedure and relevant legal provisions may also lead to difficulties in extradition cooperation.Countries should respect sovereignty and human rights and adjust the principles of exceptions for political crimes to meet the actual needs. In signing bilateral treaties, countries should uphold the principle of equality and mutual benefit and avoid being one-sided.In addition, extradition procedures should be simplified to clarify the rights and obligations of countries in extradition cooperation,so as to break through the current difficulties in extradition cooperation and better combat corruption crimes.
