Along with the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country,the standard of living in China is increasing and the demand for beauty has never been stronger.The main contradiction in society has changed profoundly in the new era,from "material and cultural needs" to "the need for a better life",and in order to meet this change in the needs of the people,the 20 th Party Congress report proposed to promote the construction of a beautiful China.In order to meet the needs of the people,the report of the 20 th Party Congress proposes to promote the construction of a beautiful China and to plan development in a way that is in harmony with nature.Therefore,ideological and political education,as an educational tool and means of propaganda aimed at meeting the development needs of the state and society as well as individuals,should be transformed into a more "aesthetic" one in order to implement the fundamental task of establishing moral education and cultivating builders and successors who will develop morally,intellectually,physically,aesthetically and socially.Although aesthetic education is often considered to be emotional education,ideological and political education is considered to be rational education,and its status and role are different.But ideological and political education itself contains the value of aesthetic orientation.It is just that its didactic,indoctrination,theoretical and objective characteristics make it lack the integration of sensual beauty,leading to problems such as weak aesthetic awareness,single aesthetic standard and complex aesthetic environment in ideological and political education.The pursuit of material civilisation to the neglect of spiritual civilisation,the indulgence in low-class fun at the expense of noble character,the monotony and high tension of life,the inability to extricate oneself from utilitarianism,and the inexorable use of science and technology to demand more from nature,have led to a single and one-sided development of human beings and prevented them from achieving comprehensive and holistic development.The aesthetic uselessness theory under the influence of pragmatism,the aesthetic convergence theory under the influence of consumerism and the aesthetic alienation under the influence of hedonism are the reasons for the root causes of the problem,put forward to expand the ideological and political education aesthetic,establish the aesthetic consciousness in ideological and political education,deepen the ecological aesthetic consciousness and promote the free and comprehensive development of human beings;refresh the aesthetic composition of ideological and political education,enhance the aesthetics of ideological and political education,and enhance the aesthetics of the subject,the object,the carrier and the ring.Explore the aesthetic practice of ideological and political education,clarify the relationship between aesthetics and life.Aesthetics is a kind of life practice,beauty in the process of life,aesthetic in life experience.People reveal the creative nature of the internalisation of ideological and political education through their own unique experience of existence and unique reflection in aesthetic practice.In order to realise the return of "beauty" in ideological and political education,aesthetic education in ideological and political education must be enhanced.It is important to enhance the vividness and effectiveness of ideological and political education,to improve the intrinsic needs of ideological and political education itself,and to make ideological and political education truly an education of beauty.Strive to achieve the beauty of harmony between man and nature,man and society,man and himself,and finally realize the free and comprehensive development of man.
