The focus of this study is on the U.S.media report involvement in the Horn of Africa to counter terrorism and its dynamic effects.The study examined to answer questions around the dynamics involvement of U.S.media in the Horn of Africa to counter terrorism by using qualitative method of data analysis.Furthermore,this paper investigate power of U.S.media report in the Horn of Africa countering terrorism by the critical analysis of the work of scholars concerning the subject area,previous researchers documents,theses,internet,media reports coverage and the press Medias.As a consequence,it identifies gaps in the U.S.policies and media effects in combating terrorism in the region.The United States has considered the states of Horn which includes Kenya,Ethiopia,Somalia,Djibouti,Eritrea,and Sudan as a major origin of terrorism.For instance Somalia has made international headlines for nearly two decades,first as a place of civil war characterized by clan warfare and humanitarian catastrophe,then as a failed state,and finally as a potential safe haven for Islamist terrorists.The expansion of Muslim extremist and al-Qaeda in Somalia was mostly the condition that puts the whole Horn of Africa in threat so that,U.S.Medias set agenda disseminating the information about the terrorist attack in the Horn of Africa to the worldwide.U.S.involvement in the Horn of Africa in order to fight terrorism was through dynamic ways including media power,military force,Collaboration with Ethiopia,Sanction and other means was brought ambitious results in the East African countries.United States‘International Medias in the framing terrorist attack and disseminate challenging risks in human life deterioration,political instability,and economic mischief in the Horn of Africa to the worldwide.Even though Western Media‘s coverage continuously increased propaganda to combat terrorism,terrorist groups maximize their attacking using media experience by changing it to opportunity in order to cause further attack as so that U.S.failed to control and manage.This result shows that U.S.needs this area not only for the purpose of fighting terrorism alone but also there is economic and political interest in the Horn of Africa.In Africa,improving the quality of life through assistance,whether it is peace and security,democracy,human rights protection,health,education,governance or economic reform,may create a region stable enough to squeeze out the cancerous cells of terrorism.
