Abstract/Summary:
Britain was once the largest colonial empire in the world, but after World War II,its former colonies became independent. Some ethnic groups in the former colonies have continued to migrate to the host country, forming a social situation with diverse ethnic components and complex racial relations in Britain.Britain’s political system and race relations are typical of the world.Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the economic downturn and international conflicts, racism in the UK has begun to spread and become the focus again, and discrimination in all areas of society continues to emerge, and racial violence is frequent.Based on the Marxist position, this paper discusses the relationship between the "separation of powers" political system and racial discrimination in the UK based on the theoretical perspective of nationalism, combined with online ethnography and documentary materials, discusses the impact of the "separation of powers" system on racial discrimination, and finds that racial discrimination in the UK presents structural characteristics, and the root cause of racial discrimination in the UK stems from the structural series of racial discrimination policies of the British political system.Chapter 4 of this article uses case studies to study racial discrimination in different areas of British society and racial discrimination encountered by different ethnic groups, and finds that the British government must not only protect the rights of the mainstream ethnic group, but also ensure that ethnic minorities can enjoy the same treatment as the mainstream ethnic group to the greatest extent.
