China-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Of Coordination: Current Situation, Challenges And Development Prospect

In today’s world,unilateralism,bullying and egoism in individual countries are on the rise,which casts a shadow over the general trend of multilateralism.The uncertainty and instability of the world are increasing rapidly,the hope of peace and development is facing hegemonic threat,and the pace of globalization is being shackled.As the major powers in the world and an important part of multipolar forces,China and Russia have attracted much attention.At present,China and Russia have the obligation to shoulder the international responsibility of multilateral development,formulate a comprehensive coordination strategy in the new era,strengthen cooperation in the political,economic and security fields,and seek common interests of both sides.This is not only in line with the interests of both sides,but also with the interests of the world,and promotes peace and development between the two countries.Firstly,this paper studies the development process of China-Russia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership,that is,from the Sino-Russian strategic cooperative partnership announced by Russia and China in 1996 to the promotion of the relationship between the two countries to the "China-Russia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era",which has been continuously upgraded.Secondly,it summarizes the achievements of China-Russia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era.The achievements of China-Russia cooperation are mainly manifested in four aspects,namely,the improvement of mutual trust in Sino-Russian political and military cooperation,the deepening of Sino-Russian economic and trade cooperation,the deepening of Sino-Russian energy and infrastructure cooperation,and the integration of Sino-Russian social and cultural exchanges.In the political and military field,with the help of bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanisms and platforms,the two countries have jointly established a new model of Sino-Russian interregional cooperation,on the one hand,consolidating the achievements of cooperation,and on the other hand,contributing to the cause of global peace and development.Energy is the largest area of bilateral cooperation between China and Russia,and energy export has always been an important part of Russia’s budget revenue.Under the Belt and Road Initiative,China and Russia signed agreements on the purchase and sale of bulk natural gas and oil.In addition,the tension between Russia and Ukraine has weakened Russia’s ability to export energy to Europe.In this context,China has become the main export market of Russian natural gas and oil.In the field of trade and finance,China and Russia have also signed many agreements,including the Sino-Russian currency swap agreement,the cooperation agreement on trade,finance and investment in the border areas between the Russian Federation and People’s Republic of China,and other agreements.In the field of humanities and education cooperation and personnel exchanges,the interest of overseas students from both countries in each other’s cultures has also increased,and the number of exchange students has increased year by year.From the perspective of China,many China schools have listed Russian as the first choice for foreign language learning.From the perspective of Russia,the popularity of Chinese among ordinary Russian people has gradually increased,and the "Chinese language fever" among Russians has been aroused.Finally,this paper looks into the prospects for the development of China Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination,and gives some suggestions of the development of China Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination.
