Research On Chen Yun's Thoughts On Ideological And Political Education And Its Contemporary Enlightenmen

Ideological and Political Education(IPE)is both a long-preserved practice and a political advantage of the Communist Party of China(CPC).To deepen the historical and empirical research of IPE,summarize its theoretical opinions and practical experience,and better serve current IPE practices,are significant topics when improving the discipline construction and theoretical research of IPE in the new era.Xi Jinping,General Secretary of the CPC,once pointed out that the history of the Party is the most vivid and persuasive textbook.Chen Yun is a proletarian revolutionist,statesman,and outstanding Marxist of the CPC.While going through trials and tribulations with the Party and China,he attached great importance to ideological and political education(IPE),put forward original and theoretical insights,and formed Chen Yun’s IPE thought,which had played a significant role in every phase of China’s modernization and integrated into the IPE practice of the CPC.In summary,Chen Yun’s IPE thought is an exemplar of today’s ideological and political education.As socialism with Chinese characteristics enters a new era,the research on Chen Yun’s thought on ideological and political education can benefit from the excellent theoretical achievements originated from the history of the CPC,and improve the contemporary ideological and political education practice as well.This paper consists of three parts:The first part proves that,by analyzing the historical background,theoretical sources,and characteristics of Chen Yun,the formation of his thought on ideological and political education is the result of a combination of subjective and objective conditions.By illustrating its main principles,contents,and mechanism,the second part analyzes the theoretical form of Chen Yun’s IPE thought and presents how those three theory components combine.The third part,also the focal point of this article,focuses on the contemporary values of Chen Yun’s ideological and political education and illustrates how his IPE thought has been proven scientific and valuable.Besides,based on the analyses above,this paper puts forward the contemporary values of Chen Yun’s IPE thoughts to solve the difficulties and dilemmas facing IPE in the new era.Finally,by uncovering these values,we can advocate the leadership of the CPC,innovate contents and methods of IPE through a high-quality teacher team,and promote its systematic development.Only by doing so can we strengthen the influence and function of ideological and political education and achieve the goal of educating talents for the Party and the country.
