| With the deepening of the aging degree of the population,the number of the elderly population is increasing,the society is moving from mild aging to moderate aging,and the needs of the elderly for supporting show a diversified development trend.In the face of the growing old-age care demand,the society old-age care system hasn’t been completed,so the old-age service is in short supply,there are always many problems of elderly care.In order to solve the problem of supply and demand about elderly care,our country encourages and guides social forces to participate in elderly care services,expand the supply of elderly care services,and build a comprehensive social elderly care service system.As an important member of social organizations,monasteries actively respond to the country call to participate in elderly care services,they enrich social service system and ease the pressure for the social endowment by combining their own advantages and resources.This study,which takes Dadi Nursing Home as an example and is guided by Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs and Social Support,adopts case study and field study method to explore and analyze an example about the development status of monastery’s participation in elderly care services.First of all,this study combs the historical tradition,realistic background and contemporary practice of the temple’s participation in the elderly care service.Secondly,by analyzing the development of Dadi Nursing Home’s participation in elderly care services,this study summarizes the service effectiveness and advantages of the temple’s participation in old-age care services.Finally,compared with other social elderly care services,the study found that the temple’s participation in elderly care services has the unique advantages of low service charges,rich volunteer resources and pay attention to spiritual pension.Monastery participation in elderly care services not only meets the material needs of the elderly,but also effectively realizes the spiritual needs of the elderly.At the same time,the temple and its elderly institutions help the elderly live the social support network by gathering various social resources;It creates a good atmosphere for the society by carrying forward the culture of filial piety.The participation of the temple in the elderly care service is in the development stage.Although it has made some achievements,it still faces the development dilemma of imperfect policy environment,low professional service and low social recognition.In order to create a good development environment,improve the service level of the temple and its elderly care institutions,attract more temples to participate in the elderly care services,the government,institutions,society and other supporting subjects should play their respective roles in improving elderly care services.As the leader of the elderly care service,the government should improve the relevant laws and regulations,expand the support range of the temple to participate in the elderly care service,strengthen supervision,standardize the operation of the temple and elderly care institutions;As the main providers of the elderly care services supply,temples and their elderly care institutions should follow the excellent tradition,continuously strengthen their own construction,improve the quality of services,and ensure the scientific and standardized operation of services;The society should change the viewpoint of the phenomenon that temples participate in elderly care services.We should mobilize social organizations,groups and other social forces actively,so we can enhance the differentiation of service supply. |
