| As a new perspective of community communication research,"Social Communication Networks" aims to explore the unique mechanism of stable operation and positive development of a community in the context of social change by using the path of cultural research and the research methods of ethnography, starting with the existence of multiple communication networks within a community. From this research perspective, with ethnography as the research method, this paper makes a qualitative investigation of the characteristic Tibetan culture community in Chengdu,Sichuan Province, and deeply explores the interpersonal, organizational, and mass communication networks built by the ethnic minority groups within the community through their daily media use and communication practices. While building the unique social communication network of the community,Further explore the impact of this communication network on local ethnic minority individuals, groups, and social identity.Research has shown that the Tibetan cultural community in Chengdu has built an interpersonal communication network around the commercial mobility of religious goods through the interpersonal communication and communication practices of its internal minority groups; With the joint promotion of local management institutions and community spontaneous endogenous organizations,an organizational communication network with functions such as ethnic aggregation, religious aggregation, and communication nodes has been constructed; In order to achieve multiple communication purposes such as self-representation,cultural expression, accumulation and expansion of social capital, members of ethnic minorities in communities build a mass communication network with religious and secularization content characteristics by virtue of the emerging mass media platform.Based on the above three communication networks, the identification of local ethnic minority individuals, groups, and surrounding residents of other ethnic groups has been achieved. The ethnic minority groups alleviate the structural dilemma brought by the modern society through the cultural presentation of the mass communication network and the religious content of the organizational communication network, and form the identity of "migratory birds" as a social mobility; In terms of building ethnic identity, community members gain discourse power on social media platforms through mass communication networks. At the same time, due to the language, customs, concepts, and other communication barriers in offline interpersonal communication networks, there is a recognition of the identity of "urban others" between neighboring ethnic groups and minority groups; With the help of national macroeconomic regulation and policy support from local governments,as well as the active promotion of cultural exchange and spatial production at the grassroots level in the organization and dissemination network, the ethnic minority groups in the Wuhou Temple Cross Street have formed a social identity of "House of Muumbi".It is precisely the formation of these three types of identity that makes Wuhou Temple Hengjie not only a "second hometown" that carries the self-esteem and sense of belonging of ethnic minority groups, but also provides a dynamic cultural landscape which is full of "locality" in the modern city. |
