In the context of high-quality development in the new era,higher vocational education has been placed in an unprecedentedly prominent position,and the state has promulgated a series of policies to support higher vocational education,but whether the policies and reforms can really achieve results is inseparable from the self-efficacy of higher vocational students,and social support is the main cause of self-efficacy of higher vocational students.In view of this,the study focuses on the two variables of social support and self-efficacy of senior students to explore their current situation and influence relationship,and then proposes management measures to improve the self-efficacy of senior students which are important for the development of higher education in China.The target population of this study is mainly the group of senior students in school,and the data was collected in March 2022,when most of the senior students are in school,and the research can reflect the psychological state of the group of senior students more realistically.In this study,a self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data on the current situation and factors influencing the social support and self-efficacy of senior students,in order to propose countermeasures for the relevant problems in a targeted manner.A total of11,201 valid questionnaires were collected by distributing questionnaires,and descriptive statistics,difference test,correlation analysis and regression analysis of the collected data were conducted by SPSS software.It was found that: the social support and self-efficacy levels of senior vocational students were mostly concentrated in the middle to upper level;the social support and self-efficacy were higher among females than males;the effects of grade,political appearance,grade ranking,household registration,parents’ education,annual family income,family upbringing,social support and its dimensions on senior vocational students’ self-efficacy had significant differences;gender,political outlook,household registration,annual family income,and family upbringing style were significantly and positively correlated with social support of senior students;grade level and grade rank were significantly and negatively correlated with social support of senior students;gender,political outlook,parental education,annual family income,social support and its dimensions were significantly and positively correlated with self-efficacy of senior students;grade level,grade rank,and household registration were significantly and negatively correlated with self-efficacy of senior students.Among the factors,gender,grade,political affiliation,grade rank,parental education,annual family income,social support and its dimensions are the main factors influencing the self-efficacy of senior students.Based on the above analysis results,this study constructs the influence system of self-efficacy of senior students from four perspectives of individual concern,family escort,school life and social support to improve the level of self-efficacy of senior students.
