Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Temporary Assistance In Xuzhou City

In 2020,China achieved its first centenary goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects,marking the beginning of a comprehensive victory in the battle against poverty.However,poverty is a dynamic and changing state,and preventing the masses from returning to poverty is an extremely important task.Temporary assistance is an important institutional arrangement to ensure the basic livelihood of people in need.It provides a bottom-up protection for all people in need and is the last line of defense to ensure basic livelihood security.Temporary assistance is an important component of the social assistance system,which means that the current public’s desire for a better life has put forward higher requirements for social assistance in China.Due to the differences in economic development levels across the country,different rescue standards have been adopted for temporary assistance,and the level of temporary assistance between different cities often shows significant differences.This article studies the practices,effectiveness,and existing difficulties of temporary assistance in Xuzhou City through methods such as questionnaire surveys,on-site visits,and literature review.Research has found that there are bottlenecks in the practice of temporary assistance in Xuzhou City,such as a single rescue method,blind spots in policy promotion,cumbersome review and approval procedures,and limited participation of social forces.Targeted measures have been proposed to optimize temporary assistance work,strengthen the construction of digital information platforms,strengthen the construction of grassroots staff teams,and promote the participation of multiple entities in assistance.Temporary assistance in Xuzhou City is a fundamental institutional guarantee for various social assistance programs currently being carried out,emphasizing the protection of the basic living conditions of people in need.In the process of practice,certain institutional achievements and beneficial experiences have been formed.However,with the continuous development of Xuzhou’s economy,temporary assistance must also keep pace with the times.
