Eradicating poverty and inequality has been a universal problem facing mankind since ancient times.Since the concept of "common prosperity" was clearly put forward,successive central leadership groups have continued to creatively transform and develop the traditional Chinese ideal of "great harmony society" according to the new development stage and level,enriching and perfecting its connotation.Since the18 th CPC National Congress,socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,and the principal contradiction in society has changed.The people’s need for a better life has become even stronger,and they have new and higher expectations and demands for common prosperity.The CPC Central Committee which at its core has made poverty alleviation a top priority.After eight years of continuous hard work,we have fulfilled the poverty alleviation goals and tasks for the new era on schedule,and built a moderately prosperous society in all respects on the land of China on schedule.This is a major measure to promote common prosperity for all people.At present,China’s development is still unbalanced and inadequate,and there are wide gaps in development between urban and rural areas and between regions and in income distribution.China is still and will remain in the primary stage of socialism for a long time to come,and its status as the largest developing country in the world has not changed.The CPC Central Committee with Xin Jinping as the core reviewed the situation and put forward a series of new ideas,new viewpoints and new judgments,which enriched and developed the idea of common prosperityThis paper takes Xi Jinping’s important exposition on common prosperity as the theme,conducts an in-depth study and a systematic summary,aiming to explore the endogeneity,systematicness,reality,sociality and practicability of Xi Jinping’s important exposition on common prosperity.Xi Jinping’s important exposition on common prosperity is an innovative theoretical achievement,which originates from the idea of "commonwealth society" in the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and is innovative in the exploration of common prosperity by successive Communists in China,and its content fully reflects the Marxist idea of common prosperity.By examining Xi Jinping’s developmental experience from the local to the central level and digging deeper into his important discourse on common prosperity,this paper divides the development and evolution of Xi Jinping’s important exposition on common prosperity into three periods: initial exploration,formation and development,and entering a new stage.Xi Jinping’s important exposition on common prosperity is rich in content,including its strategic status,rich connotation and ways of realisation,and systematically answers the important questions of why,what and how to realise common prosperity.It is found that Xi Jinping’s important exposition on common prosperity has distinctive characteristics and contemporary values,and not only has important theoretical and practical significance,but also provides an effective example reference for helping the global fight against poverty to crack the deficit of poverty reduction.In short,Xi Jinping’s important exposition on common prosperity is a value guide and a fundamental guideline for realising the Chinese dream,pointing the way forward for the Chinese people to get rid of poverty and become rich,and for the realisation of Chinese modernization.
