Research On The Commemoration Of International Women’s Day In Shanxi-Suiyuan Border Region

In 1924,"March 8" Women’s Day entered the vision of the general public under the official construction system,and became the beginning of the organized women’s liberation movement in China,with the dual mission of emancipating women and social change,as well as an important festival "field" for the Communist Party and the Kuomintang to fight for women’s power.".The Jinsui Anti-Japanese Base Area is geographically important,erecting an insurmountable barrier to the Japanese at the northwest gateway of the Shaanxi-Gan Ning Border Area,preventing the Japanese from crossing the Yellow River to invade the Shaanxi-Gan Ning Border Area,defending Yan’an and the Party Central Committee.In order to implement the strategy of "universal resistance and comprehensive resistance",the government of Jinsui Border Area took the opportunity of "March 8" Women’s Day to address the "pain points" of the women in the base area and launched political,economic and cultural propaganda.The "March 8" Women’s Day was used as an opportunity to address the "pain points" of the women in the base areas and to mobilize women to actively participate in production and social activities,thereby protecting their rights and interests and enhancing their social status."The March 8 Women’s Day was not only a favorable channel for women’s liberation,but also an important platform for political mobilization by the Communist Party of China.The article consists of five parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the origin of the article’s topic selection,the research status and data about the commemoration of International Women’s Day and women’s movement at home and abroad,and also traces and explains the March 8th International Women’s Day.The second part reveals the natural conditions and social opportunities for the development of March 8th International Women’s Day in the Shanxi-Suiyuan Border Region,highlights the official construction and active actions of the government of Shanxi-Suiyuan Border Region in carrying out the commemoration of March 8th,and preliminarily shows the interactive relationship between the commemoration of International Women’s Day and the government of Shanxi-Suiyuan Border Region.In the third part,starting from four aspects: the connotation of the times,the commemorative content and theme,the specific promotion method and the actual commemorative effect of International Women’s Day,the development context and the specific operation mode of the March 8th commemorative activities in the Shanxi-Suiyuan Border Region are clarified,and the macro picture of the development of the International Women’s Day in the ShanxiSuiyuan Border Region is depicted.The fourth part discusses the difficulties and obstacles encountered in the process of "localization" of International Women’s Day,which are mainly manifested in two aspects: the obstruction of traditional forces and the insufficient development of the "March 8th" Festival itself,and gives a comprehensive summary of the coping strategies of the government of Shanxi-Suiyuan Border Region.The fifth part comprehensively considers the application and development of the commemoration system of "March 8th" in the Shanxi-Suiyuan Border Region,summarizes the social value of International Women’s Day in wartime semantic background,and comprehensively analyzes the diversified development patterns of International Women’s Day in the Shanxi-Suiyuan Border Region,in order to provide experience and enlightenment for today’s commemoration activities of International Women’s Day.In the wartime context,the Jinsui Border Region realized the goal of political mobilization and women’s emancipation through the March 8 Women’s Day in view of the real needs of the base area and the situation of women.Although the revolutionary overtones of the Women’s Day commemoration diluted its main purpose,the border area government is still worthy of recognition and reference in general.
