Facing the rapidly growing population aging trend,Strengthen education for the elderly could be an important measure to meet the challenges brought by the aging society in the new era and to improve the modernization of national governance capacity.Wenzhou attaches great importance to elderly education,and gives the elderly education corresponding economic support.Wenzhou’s elderly education is more advanced in system reforms.However,there are still many system and mechanism obstacles in the current operation status of Wenzhou’s elderly education.Therefore,the research on the effectiveness of elderly education in Wenzhou has important theoretical value and practical significance.This article uses the methods of literature analysis,comparative analysis,questionnaire and interview,and carries out according to the logical order of theoretical basis of research,analysis on the Predicament and cause of Formation of the education for the aged in Wenzhou,and propose improvement countermeasures for Wenzhou elderly education.This article discusses the definition and theoretical basis of related concepts such as elderly education by studying the domestic and foreign elderly education literature..Based on the questionnaire survey and interview of elderly education in Wenzhou,this article concludes that the elderly education in Wenzhou has achieved the goal of building a "government led + industry led" elderly education management system,established a "general school + grass-roots + network" pattern of elderly education services,expanded the form of "curriculum + community + activity" for the elderly education,improved the theoretical basis of "research +think tanks +counsel for government" for governance service capability,promoted the management mode of "standardization +informatization+intelligence".And draws the existing problems include the difficulty in communication and coordination between aged education management department,lack of resource guarantee,the difficulty in connecting "supply" and "demand" of elderly education products,difficulty for the educated in participating actively.This article also analyzes the causes of these problems,including the deviation in the cognition and ideas,incomplete in laws and regulations and insufficient investment for elderly education......This article is based on the analysis of the practical difficulties and causes of the elderly education in Wenzhou,learn from domestic and foreign experience,analysis framework using public management,put forward the countermeasures and suggestions to improve the management of elderly education in Wenzhou including improving the management system of education and strengthen the guarantee conditions for the elderly,rationalize the relationship between "supply" and "demand" of elderly education products,and constantly stimulate the initiative of the educated to participate.
