Research On The Construction Of The Belt And Road Initiative Urban Network From The Perspective Of Public Goods

The Belt and Road Initiatives is a new type of international public goods launched by China in response to the sluggish recovery of the world economy and the deficit in global economic governance.A network of land,sea and air passages,promote the construction of high-standard free trade zones,and build an open world economy.As a new type of international cooperation platform,the Belt and Road Initiatives provides important international public goods for countries along the route in terms of public security,cooperation norms,infrastructure,trade system,financial financing,industrial cooperation,public health,climate governance and other aspects.Cities and urban networks are important supports and engines for regional economic development,and fulcrum cities along the route are important spatial carriers for the construction of the Belt and Road Initiatives.The construction of urban network is an important aspect and proper meaning of the “Belt and Road” construction.Through the construction of the urban network of the Belt and Road Initiatives,it is beneficial to improve the degree of openness of the countries and regions along the route,strengthen the resource integration of the countries along the route,and promote the realization of common development.Due to the different development stages and levels of the fulcrum cities along the route,it is urgent to strengthen the differentiated research on the fulcrum cities along the route to build the “Belt and Road” urban network,and to provide more targeted and refined public products.Based on the analysis of the characteristics of the fulcrum cities along the Belt and Road Initiatives,and based on the objective needs of building urban networks,this paper believes that China,as the initiator and promoter of the Belt and Road initiatives,should actively open up a new platform for local government public diplomacy,encourage domestic Provinces and cities and cities along the route promote sister-city cooperation,hold “Urban Forum of the Belt and Road Initiatives” and other forms.On the basis of meeting the specific development status of cities along the route,the Provide more targeted public products in the fields of epidemic prevention,people-topeople exchanges,sustainable development,etc.,improve the strategic alignment of the fulcrum cities of the Belt and Road Initiatives,coordinate development,and promote the construction of the urban network of the Belt and Road Initiatives.
