Research On The Impact Of Population Aging On The Employment Transfomation Of Migrant Workers Under The Background Of Digital Economy

Employment matters most in people’s life,migrant workers as the key groups of employment policy,whose employment problems are always the important content of our country’s employment priority strategy.At present,many migrant workers are still facing employment difficulties such as difficulties in transferring employment and labor shortages,and difficulties in re-employment of older migrant workers and laid-off workers,and employment pressure has intensified,and employment transformation is the common demand of different types of migrant workers.With our country’s aging population process aggravating,digital economy flourishes,and now the process of digital economy’s development coexist with population aging,in the double wave of digital economy and population aging,the employment transformation of migrant worker displays new situation that opportunities coexist with challenges.So,what impact will the aging of the population have on the employment transformation of migrant workers under the background of digital economy? What is the internal mechanism of influence? These issues are worthy of research and in-depth discussion.Focusing on these issues,this thesis defines the relevant concepts and expounds the relevant theories on the basis of collating and analyzing the existing literature,and sorts out the mechanism of population aging affecting the employment of migrant workers under the background of digital economy.After analyzing the employment,aging population and digital economy of migrant workers in China,this thesis empirically analyzes the comprehensive effect of population aging on the employment transformation of migrant workers under the background of digital economy based on the survey data of China’s labor force dynamics,and analyzes the intermediary effect of labor demand,labor market tightness and overwork by using the multiple probit model.Finally,according to the research conclusions,relevant countermeasures and suggestions are proposed.The main findings of this thesis include:(1)The total number of migrant workers showed a low-speed growth trend,the overall education level gradually improved,and employment shifted to the tertiary industry.(2)The aging degree of the population deepens,and the growth rate increases,and the aging degree is regional difference;The difference is obvious,and the characteristics of "old before getting rich" are obvious.(3)Under the background of digital economy,population aging has a promoting effect on the employment transformation of migrant workers,and it has an effect on the reverse of migrant workers’ occupational mobility and employment transformation by changing the labor demand of different industries,improving the tightness of the labor market,and affecting the probability of migrant workers’ overwork.(4)There is heterogeneity in the impact of population aging and digital economy on the employment transformation of migrant workers,among which the occupational mobility of low-skilled migrant workers is more affected by the superposition effect of the digital economy and population aging than that of high-skilled migrant workers;The impact of the digital economy and population aging on the new generation of migrant workers is more obvious than that of the older generation of migrant workers.Migrant workers in urban areas have a higher probability of changing careers than migrant workers in rural areas.Based on the empirical analysis results,countermeasures and suggestions are proposed:(1)Develop new models and formats of digital economy,and drive more migrant workers to change jobs and improve their quality employment.(2)Be vigilant against the urban and rural digital divide that will arise in the later stage of the development of the digital economy,and pay attention to promoting the construction of digital infrastructure in areas with low and medium economic levels.(3)Promote the digital transformation of the real economy and accelerate the digital transformation of enterprises.(4)Strengthen vocational skills training for migrant workers,and promote the upward mobility and development of migrant workers’ employment transformation.
