A Study On The Creation Of Grassroots Party Organizations In Hebei From 1920 To 1927

Since the inception of the first Communist Party organization in Tangshan in April 1922,the establishment and evolution of Party organizations in Hebei has spanned over a century.Upon retrospection of the Hebei Party organization’s genesis,their origination,progression,and evolution not only stem from particular geographical and historical factors but also from social transformations and the growth of political ideologies.Hebei Province,abbreviated as Hebei,holds a position of great political and strategic importance due to its location north of the lower reaches of the Yellow River and its borders with many other regions.Its unique geographical location has made it a battleground for soldiers since ancient times.The people of Hebei have long suffered from the cruel exploitation of feudalism and foreign capitalism,leading to a widespread desire for change.Li Dazhao and other progressive figures took up the mantle of leadership,working tirelessly to promote the development of the Communist Party organization in Hebei.Under Li Dazhao’s guidance,the region was heavily influenced by the establishment of Party organizations in Beijing and Tianjin,leveraging the strong ties of blood,business,and local relationships to establish grassroots organizations across many cities,counties,and rural areas in Hebei.This paper primarily addresses the following topics.The first section of this text centers on the underlying causes and basis for the establishment of early grassroots party organizations in Hebei.Not only does it expound upon the reasons for the emergence of party organizations from the perspectives of social history,geographic factors,and social environment,it also thoroughly analyzes the foundation of early party organizations regarding class,ideology,organization,and society.The second section delves into the development of party organizations in Jingdong,Zhizhong,Zhili Province’s Koubei Province and Jehol and Chahar regions,Zhinan and Jinan regions under the guidance of local CPC branches in Beijing,the Beijing District Committee,and the Northern District Committee,and provides a foundation for the third section to summarize the features of rural areas,railroads,schools,and enterprises as pivotal points.The aim of the third part is to expand upon the second section by analyzing the development process of rural and urban grassroots Party branches in the five major regions and achieve a comprehensive understanding of the internal and external relationships and construction work carried out in the founding process of early Hebei Party organizations.During this period,it is evident that early Hebei grassroots party organizations were continuously developed and formed under the guidance of the central government,higher-level district committees,and Li Dazhao,by uniting individuals from various social classes and strata.Additionally,geography,peer relationships,and kinship played a role in the development of party members,which is one of the characteristics of the founding of early grassroots party organizations in Hebei.Furthermore,local party organizations were all centered in one area and radiated outward,and the development of a specific party organization in one region easily led to the establishment of party organizations in neighboring areas.In addition,early party organizations effectively executed the directives of the central and higher organizations in the founding process,actively developed relationships with youth groups,and relied on connections with the Kuomintang to achieve brief organizational growth.Lastly,this paper will thoroughly analyze the ideological,organizational,institutional,and disciplinary construction work carried out by early party organizations in the founding process,and summarize the experience and draw inspiration from the aforementioned analysis to further seriously study Marxism,continuously strengthen the ideological and political construction of the party,actively mobilize the power of the proletarians and integrate with the workers’ movement,propose reasonable policies in accordance with the changing revolutionary situation and adapt to local conditions,prioritize the mass viewpoint,adhere to the importance of the mass line,combine history and theory,and learn from the past.Studying the formation of the early grassroots party organizations in Hebei is of paramount importance,as a thorough examination of the origins of these organizations can facilitate a deeper understanding of the Party’s history and provide a foundation for analyzing the Party’s development.This is not only a response to the Party’s call to stay up-to-date with current events and politics,but also a compelling demonstration of how discipline knowledge and professional development can be effectively combined.
