Wang Youmu And Marxism In Sichuan Early Communication Research

Wang Youmu(1887-1924)is a native of Jiangyou,Sichuan.Known as the first revolutionary to spread Marxist theory in Sichuan,he is one of the earliest Communist Party members in Sichuan.Under the background of the hustle and bustle of the times,Wang Youmu was determined to strive to change the current situation of Chinese society when he was a teenager,and his early thoughts were influenced by the ideological trend of saving the country by education,industry and science.Subsequently,he traveled east to Japan in 1914 and began to come into contact with Marxism sporadically,and showed a strong interest in the relevant theories of Marxism.After studying and returning to China,the realistic context and general situation of the spread of Marxism in China provided a realistic basis for Wang Youmu to get in touch with and eventually become a Marxist.In this process,he gradually changed his position with the in-depth understanding of Marxism and the discrimination of other schools of socialist thought,and finally became a firm and loyal Marxist revolutionist.After establishing a firm belief,he persisted in combining Marxist theoretical dissemination with practical struggle,through classroom teaching,establishing newsthesiss and periodicals,establishing Marxist Party and League organizations,leading the workers’ movement,etc.It pioneered the spread of Marxism in Sichuan,influenced the ideas and choices of China’s advanced youth,and put forward the advanced idea of arming workers and peasants earlier.It has played a great role in promoting the development of the communist revolution in Sichuan and even the new democratic revolution of the Chinese nation.Starting with the historical materials such as the articles written by Wang Youmu,the correspondence with the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League,the memories of him and the documents of the revolutionary historical archives within the Party,this thesis reproduces his revolutionary course on the basis of combing the historical data.summarize his outstanding revolutionary contributions and try to evaluate them objectively and fairly.From the point of view of historical materialism,this thesis analyzes the track of personal life,ideological evolution,concrete practice and so on.Specifically,this thesis first analyzes the growth environment of Wang Youmu and the overall situation of the spread of Marxism in China.On the basis of combing the background of the times,this thesis then analyzes the change of Wang Youmu’s thought,showing how he grew into a firm Marxist.This thesis analyzes the historical origin and personal motivation of Wang Youmu embarking on the road of Marxism from the two aspects of time background and personal growth.Secondly,starting with Wang Youmu’s specific practice of spreading Marxism in Sichuan,that is,classroom communication,newspaper dissemination,organizational communication and struggle communication,this thesis presents Wang Youmu’s specific activities of spreading Marxism.Thirdly,this thesis analyzes the characteristics and restrictive factors of Wang Youmu’s spread of Marxism on the basis of a large number of historical materials.Finally,this thesis analyzes Wang Youmu’s historical contribution and realistic enlightenment of spreading Marxism in Sichuan,summarizes Wang Youmu’s historical achievements,and analyzes his valuable value enlightenment and spiritual heritage.
