Study On The Role Of Science And Technology In The Free And Comprehensive Development Of Human Beings

Since the 19 th century,the rapid development and wide application of science and technology has vigorously promoted the development of society and become an important force to promote the free and comprehensive development of human beings.However,its negative effects have also appeared.Due to the deviation of human’s grasp and application of science and technology,to some extent,science and technology have alienated the goal of promoting the free and comprehensive development of human beings.People are prostrate under the rule of science and technology,and their personality development is inhibited.Excessive pursuit of material interests leads to the destruction of the harmonious relationship between man and nature,society and himself.The COVID-19 crisis has tested the public’s scientific and cultural literacy,showing that the role of science and technology in human development on the material level is not the whole story.What role does science and technology play in the development of human beings?What are the negative effects of personality development and material effects on human development? What is the manifestation that the role of spiritual culture is not fully played?And how to avoid the negative effects of science and technology and expand the positive effects so as to better promote the free and comprehensive development of human beings?In order to clarify these problems,this study is based on Marx and Engels’ discussion on the relationship between science and technology and human development,and dialectically analyzes the role of science and technology in the free and comprehensive development of human.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is a brief review of this research,introducing the background,significance,current situation,research methods and ideas.The second chapter combs and analyzes Marx and Engels’ discussion on the relationship between science and technology and human development,which lays a theoretical foundation for exploring the role of science and technology in the free and comprehensive development of human.The third chapter discusses from the positive effect that science and technology is a powerful lever to promote the free and comprehensive development of human beings,and expounds that science and technology provide guarantee for the free and comprehensive development of human beings,promote the material condition of human beings,and promote the spiritual and cultural quality of human beings.Chapter four discusses from the negative effects that science and technology play an inappropriate role in the free and comprehensive development of human beings,resulting in the alienation of human personality development and material enrichment,and the lack of human in the dimension of cultural development.In combination with our development path and scientific and technological development,the fifth chapter explores the path on the basis of the inappropriate role of science and technology mentioned in the fourth chapter,and puts forward ways such as attaching importance to value rationality,strengthening ideological and moral construction,and strengthening science popularization ability construction,so that science and technology can better promote the free and comprehensive development of human beings.
