Wei Baqun’s Contribution To The Political Power Construction In Youjiang Revolutionary Base

Wei Baqun(1894-1932),born in Donglitun,Zhonghe Township,Wuzhuan District,Donglan County,Guangxi,was an outstanding Communist Party member,In October 1926,Chen Mianshu went to Donglan to introduce and elect Chen Mianshu to join the CPC,an outstanding communist soldier,a pioneer of the Chinese peasant movement,and one of the founders of the Youjiang Revolutionary Base and the Seventh Army of the Chinese Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army.There are two driving factors for Wei Baqun’s leadership of the peasant movement,one is the external historical background,and the other is the internal ideological drive.Firstly,the people of Guangxi have had a strong spirit of resistance since ancient times,which stems from the fact that the people of Guangxi have been extremely oppressed.In addition,after Chiang Kai shek launched the "412" counter revolutionary coup in 1927,the domestic revolutionary situation fell into a low tide.The revolutionary situation in Guangxi began to improve after Deng Xiaoping and Zhang Yunyi came to Guangxi in 1929 to preside over the matter.Secondly,during the early leadership of the peasant movement by Wei Baqun,the idea of establishing a Soviet regime had not yet emerged.After graduating from the Third Agricultural Lecture Institute in Guangzhou in 1925,Wei Baqun was deeply influenced by the Marxist Leninist ideology of political power construction.At the same time,Mao Zedong’s ideology of political power construction deeply influenced various political power construction practices of Wei Baqun.In addition,the traditional Chinese ideology of "country,country,and the people" also had a subtle impact on Wei Baqun.After the establishment of the Youjiang Revolutionary Base,Wei Baqun conducted multiple political power construction practices,including organizing party and government training courses,supporting hospital work,and establishing various technical teams;Actively participate in the construction of the Right Jiangsu Uyghur government and assist the governments under or around Donglan County;Take the lead in establishing a co cultivation society and participate in drafting the "Interim Regulations on Land Law" and "Co cultivation Regulations";Develop policies for ethnic equality,establish training courses for ethnic minorities,and promote a large number of ethnic minority cadres;Pioneering proposal of "labor oriented education",flexibly adjusting teaching curriculum and content based on political situation.The political power construction practice of Wei Baqun in the Youjiang Revolutionary Base not only made significant contributions to consolidating the Youjiang Revolutionary Base,but also had a profound impact and can even become an excellent reference for contemporary political power construction.In the process of political power construction practice,Wei Baqun always paid attention to the combination of Marxist Leninist theory and the actual situation of the Youjiang Revolution.By applying the Marxist Leninist political power construction thought and Mao Zedong’s political power construction thought and experience,he greatly consolidated the red political power in the Youjiang Revolutionary Base,improved the social status of ethnic minority compatriots,and gained the support of the people.In the context of the new era,Wei Baqun’s spirit of loyalty to the Party,dedication to the people,perseverance,and selfless dedication still shines brightly.His contributions also provide reference and inspiration for contemporary political power construction.
