Currently, with China’s increasing international influence, the external resistance it faces is also increasing. The rampant novel coronavirus, the sanctions imposed by capitalist countries, and the turbulent international situation have all brought severe and complex challenges to China’s development. How can the CPC ensure the basic living needs of the people during the epidemic, effectively solve the epidemic crisis, and lead the Chinese people to continue on the second century road of struggle; How can China confront the troubles and difficulties created by capitalist countries and ensure the normal and high-quality development of the country; How can China shoulder the responsibility of a major power, contribute its own efforts to environmental protection and nuclear security issues for all mankind, and contribute to the construction of a new world pattern. The above are all practical issues that China is currently facing, and they are also related to whether the ultimate ideal of "free and comprehensive development of human beings" can be realized. The full text consists of four parts. In the introduction section.Firstly, this article analyzes the current problems in China and links this issue with the idea of "free and comprehensive development of human beings" proposed by Marx in the Communist Manifesto.Secondly, this article summarizes the relevant research results of scholars both domestically and internationally on the concept of "free and comprehensive development of human beings" in the Communist Manifesto, and points out some existing problems. Finally, the theoretical and practical value of this article was discussed, and future research directions were pointed out.The first chapter analyzes the generative context of the idea of "free and comprehensive development of human beings" in the history of Marxist thought. This chapter is based on Marx’s textual works and takes Marx’s ideological transformation as an important basis for division, and conducts research and discussion from three periods. In the exploration period before the first period of the Economic and Philosophical Manuscripts of 1844,it was mainly manifested as Marx’s longing for "freedom" and human happiness,as well as his discovery of "civil society" and "human essence";In the second period, from the formation of the Holy Family to the Manifesto of the Communist Party,Marx established a new view of human essence by basing human liberation on the reality of individuals, and pointed out the important position of the proletarian revolution in human society; The third period, the period of improvement after the Communist Manifesto, elaborated on Marx’s theory of "three major forms of human historical development",examined the three historical stages of human development, and once again emphasized the necessity of proletarian revolution. The second chapter explores the core idea of "free and comprehensive development of human beings" in the Communist Manifesto. This chapter first defines the connotation of the idea of "free and comprehensive development of human beings" and briefly discusses the reasons for its emergence. On this basis, the text analyzes the historical premise of "free and comprehensive development of human beings" from three aspects: material conditions, ideological conditions, and international communication conditions when the Communist Manifesto was published.Furthermore, the practical path to achieve the idea of "free and comprehensive development of human beings" was discussed, which is to eliminate private ownership as a means, vigorously develop productive forces as the goal, adhere to the leadership of the Communist Party, guide scientific theory, and unite the proletariat to lay the institutional, material, political, ideological, and revolutionary strength guarantee. In this section, the ideas of "two complete breakdowns" and "two inevitability" are combined to comprehensively reflect on the "free and comprehensive development of human beings" contained in the Communist Manifesto. The third chapter revolves around the inheritance and development of the idea of "free and comprehensive development of human beings" in the Communist Manifesto in China’s socialist modernization construction. This chapter explores the contemporary value of the idea of "free and comprehensive development of human beings" in important meetings and speeches of the Communist Party of China since the 18 th National Congress.Guided by the practical path of realizing the concept of "free and comprehensive development of human beings",China has always adhered to the leadership of the Party, centered around the people, guided by the new development concept, and vigorously developed productive forces. On a global scale,we continue to promote the establishment of a community with a shared future for mankind.Committed to achieving the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and ultimately moving towards the ultimate value goal of achieving human freedom and comprehensive development. The idea of "free and comprehensive development of human beings" runs through the entire process of the development of Marxist philosophical thought. It is not only the core idea of the Communist Manifesto, but also the lifelong ideal and tireless pursuit of Marx and Engels. It takes the practice of real people as the starting point and foothold, seeking a scientifically feasible path to achieve human liberation, and drawing a blueprint for the free and comprehensive development of all humanity.
