Nowadays,information technology,represented by the Internet,is rapidly changing,leading to new changes in social production,creating new spaces for the internet,expanding the scope of human interaction,and influencing human thinking patterns.In the era of the Internet,ideology has extended to the cyberspace,opening up a new field of ideological space,namely the field of network ideology.Accompanied by this is the clash of diverse values in the cyberspace,the clash of diverse ideologies and cultures,and the interweaving of various complex social ideologies,resulting in the issue of ideological security risks in the internet.The issue of ideological security in the internet is crucial for the survival and development of a political party,a country,and a nation.Therefore,how to effectively maintain the security of online ideology is an urgent issue that needs to be answered in the context of the new era.The value orientation of youth determines the value orientation of the entire society in the future.The Internet is the main channel for young college students to obtain information,but the complex network space is impacting network ideology,affecting the ideological concepts and value orientations of college students.Therefore,this project focuses on the group of college students and conducts research on the basis of drawing inspiration from the ideological theoretical essence of classic Marxist writers.In the process of research,starting from materialist dialectics and historical materialism,the paper combs the fundamental power,main power and direct power of the generation of network ideology.Then,based on the characteristics of the times and the network,analyze the basic characteristics of network ideology from different perspectives.Exploring network ideology is the unity of virtuality and reality,politics and guidance,openness and difficulty in control,permeability and deconstruction.Everything has two sides,and the Internet has brought both opportunities and enormous challenges to the education of ideological security for college students.From the perspective of opportunities,online media has broadened the channels for online ideological security education,enriched the materials of online ideological security education with network resources,and improved the effectiveness of online ideological security education with network characteristics.From the perspective of challenges,the orientation of online public opinion and the diversification of social trends affect college students’ identification with mainstream ideology,the widespread entertainment of online culture weakens college students’ recognition of mainstream culture,the relevant characteristics of online space increase the difficulty of teacher education and control,and the complex situation of the online environment puts higher demands on teacher education.Looking back at the offline reality of education,there is a lack of connection between the goals of online ideological security teaching for college students,a relatively shallow educational content,a relatively single educational approach,a lack of teaching evaluation mechanisms,and a shortage of educational teams.Based on the challenges and existing problems faced by network ideological security education for college students,it is necessary to construct systematic countermeasures to improve network ideological security education.In the process of educating college students on network ideological security,it is necessary to always adhere to the education of Marxist theory and Core Socialist Values,supplemented by education on network security awareness and network media literacy,and follow the educational
