A Study On Zhang Wentian’s Diplomatic Thought And Its Contemporary Enlightenment

Zhang Wentian is an outstanding Marxist theorist,a great proletarian revolutionist,and also an important member of the first generation of leadership of the Communist Party of China.Its rich connotation mainly includes: first,adhere to the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and deepen them in diplomatic practice;Second,it advocates respect for newly nationalistic countries and friendly relations with them.Third,explicitly oppose "exporting revolution";Fourth,we should advocate thrifty diplomacy and moderate aid.These important diplomatic thoughts not only enrich the connotation of the Party’s diplomatic thoughts,but also guide the orderly development of China’s diplomatic work.In the important diplomatic practices of New China that he led and participated in,Comrade Zhang Wentian always adhered to the basic working principle of seeking truth from facts and,with the spirit of being good at innovation and daring to make breakthroughs,gradually formed the characteristics of practical,flexible and forward-looking diplomatic thinking.The research and development of international issues in Zhang Wentian’s diplomatic thought has important enlightenment significance for diplomacy at that time and in the new era.That is to say,if we want to maximize diplomatic achievements,we must do a good job in research,improve the work capacity,strengthen the importance of ideological and political guidance;It also tells us that in handling international relations,we should always uphold national sovereignty and integrity and put national interests first,pursue a pragmatic foreign policy of peace,and make rational analysis of the international situation.It can be seen that Comrade Zhang Wentian put forward a lot of insights and made great contributions to the diplomatic work of New China during his ten years of diplomatic career.Using the research methods of unification of logic and history,document analysis and system analysis,this paper carefully studies Zhang Wentian’s anthology and related documents and materials,analyzes the historical background of Zhang Wentian’s diplomatic thought by combining historical theories,and discusses the formation of Zhang Wentian’s diplomatic thought in stages.Then it summarizes the main content of Zhang Wentian’s diplomatic thought and summarizes the main characteristics of Zhang Wentian’s diplomatic thought as well as its value and significance to contemporary diplomatic work.I hope this paper can play a role in attracting jade,on the one hand to arouse the academic circle’s attention to the study of Zhang Wentian’s diplomatic thought.On the other hand,it will enrich the research of Zhang Wentian’s diplomatic thought,which will provide useful reference for better handling the new type of international relations in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics and serving the country’s diplomatic cause of peace.
