Today’s society has an aging population that is gradually growing and becoming a significant trend in population development. The state has provided supportive policies to enhance the elderly’s physical and mental well-being in response to the aging challenge.Technology advancement has driven to the widespread use of smart platforms in a number of industries, which also offers fresh approaches to the problem of the aged. The smart senior care system for the elderly is uneven and has a poor level of informationization and intelligence, making it unable to fulfill the specialized and varied needs of the elderly with various health conditions. The study develops a smart senior care system based on Huawei cloud platform to monitor the physical health of the elderly and to enhance the quality of life for seniors. The system collects data from four different areas, including fall behavior, heart rate and blood oxygen levels,GPS positioning, and fire prevention, and uploads the information to Huawei cloud platform to enable elderly accident and health condition monitoring. The research uses the MPU6050 sensor as the hardware to identify fall behavior. To differentiate between normal activity and fall behavior, the fall detection threshold is in stages extracted using the support vector machine method of pattern recognition. The hardware for measuring the human heart rate and blood oxygen saturation is chosen as the MAX30102 sensor.Beginning with the fundamental theory, the least square approach is used to many measurements of human blood oxygen saturation data under various conditions in order to optimize the value of the empirical coefficient and produce a measurement formula with a high degree of fit.The formula is applied to the data detection hardware, and a comparative test is run using commercial oximeters.Data on heart rate and blood oxygenation were acquired with minimal error. The L80-R chip used in the GPS positioning module enables precise positioning. The position of the human body in time can be achieved using the longitude and latitude data the chip collected and picked up by coordinates. The MQ-2 gas sensor is used by the fire prevention module to measure the airborne smoke concentration. The buzzer will sound an alarm to alert the elderly residents of the home to take prompt action when the smoke concentration reaches the predetermined threshold.Guardians can also enable remote monitoring of senior residences. In order to view and analyze data, the study chooses the Huawei cloud platform as the data observation platform, the NB module for wireless communication, and the Co AP protocol to connect the terminal to the Io T platform.Data collected by each sensor of the smart elderly system is uploaded to the cloud and displayed in real-time by the platform. The elderly will have a better user experience thanks to the implementation of the cloud platform plug-in,which improves the practicality and convenience of system development. The four functions of the study’s smart senior care system were tested and analyzed separately to determine how well they performed. The measured experimental data were extremely accurate, with errors within the feasibility study range, and the system design displayed a high level of completeness.
