Marx’s philosophical thought on law was formed at a time when the industrial revolution was flourishing and the European revolution was developing and growing.Through his critique of the legal-philosophical tradition of the classical natural jurists,Marx formulated a revolutionary legal-philosophical thought.First of all,it showed that law arises from the basis of social material life and is directly influenced by the forms of social interaction. It changed the traditional legal philosophers’ idealistic cognitive understanding of the nature of law and explained that law presents a specific dialectical relationship with the economic basis and the forms of social interaction. This idea emphasizes historical materialism and the practical theory of "social existence",which explains that the essence of law consists of two aspects: on the one hand, law embodies the will of the ruling class. On the other, the content of law depends on the material conditions of the ruling class.Secondly, the legal philosophers before Marx either denied law and legal value or ignored the intrinsic role relationship between law and interests, equality and freedom on the question about the value of law, which led to the gradual presentation of legal value as nihilism.Marx’s theoretical contribution to the value of law in the philosophy of law lies in the fact that, starting from the nature of human beings,he has put forward the intrinsic unity between the social nature of human beings and the human nature of society, and he has clarified that law and law are the tools for the individualization of society and the socialization of individuals, and has made a significant contribution to the theory on the value of law in the philosophy of law thought.Thirdly, one thing that previous thinkers have in common in the methodology of the philosophy of law is that when they examine the phenomenon of law, they do not grasp it in terms of law itself, but in terms of the general development of the human spirit. This only makes the phenomenon of law too difficult to understand. The method used by Marx in studying law means dividing the economic sphere from all spheres of the original social life, dividing the relations of production from all social relations, and considering it as the origin and basis of all other relations, the basis for causing and developing the phenomenon of law, thus placing the understanding of the phenomenon of law on a scientific basis. Finally, based on exploring and analyzing the various theoretical contributions of Marx in the formation and development of legal philosophy, finely understanding and grasping the spiritual core, the thesis analyzes the significant value and significance of Marx’s legal philosophy thought, which provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the development of contemporary rule of law society.
