| "Rich countries make corn",food security is closely related to the development of individuals and countries.Food security concerns the national economy and people’s livelihood.Without food security,there will be no development and peace.The right to have food security is a basic human right to exist,and global food security governance is an important way to achieve global food security and stabilize the national foundation.WFP’s governance of global food security has experienced a process of self-transformation.To some extent,the food aid measures imposed by the World Food Program(WFP)on countries plagued by food insecurity have greatly promoted the recipient countries.At the same time,the WFP has also summarized relevant experiences and methods in the process of continuous food aid and humanitarian aid implementation,which also provides high-quality reference for international organizations to better participate in global food security governance.Judging from the effectiveness of international organizations in global food security governance,WFP’s food aid is necessary,effective and referential.The purpose of this paper is to investigate the role and effectiveness of the World Food Program in the process of global food security governance,and provide reference for international organizations and national actors to participate in global food security governance.Both South Sudan and Syria have prominent food insecurity problems,and the causes behind the food insecurity problems are complex.There is a realistic basis for WFP to provide food aid to South Sudan and Syria.This paper takes WFP’s food aid to South Sudan and Syria as case studies,discusses WFP’s aid actions to the two countries,summarizes WFP’s experience and wisdom in participating in global food security governance through food aid,and continuously explores effective ways for international organizations to participate in global food security governance. |
