Research On The Influence Of Village Cadres’ Knowledge On Villagers’ Human Consumption

Excessive human consumption will crowd out other normal consumption of villagers’ families,compress their consumption space,reduce the demand of rural consumer market,and is not conducive to the sustainable development of rural economy.The mobilization and implementation of rural policies depend on the quality characteristics and abilities of village cadres,and the state has paid more and more attention to the educational background and education of village cadres.What impact will the knowledge of village cadres have on villagers’ human consumption? At the same time,under the regional differences in my country’s rural areas,whether there is a heterogeneous impact of the knowledge of village cadres on villagers’ human consumption,and the role of clan network in the knowledge of village cadres and villagers’ human consumption.Whether there is a moderating effect,these are the main concerns of this paper.Based on the statistical analysis of the composition characteristics of village cadres,villagers’ human consumption and clan network,this paper clarifies the current situation and problems of human consumption,and uses the panel data of the "China Labor Dynamics Survey"(CLDS)in 2014,2016 and 2018.The fixed effect model empirically analyzes the influence of village cadres’ knowledge on villagers’ human consumption,and conducts regional heterogeneity analysis,mechanism test,endogeneity discussion and robustness analysis.Finally,it discusses the moderating role of clan network in village cadres’ knowledge on villagers’ favor consumption.From the research conclusions,first,village cadres have the most junior high school,senior high school education,and the proportion of college and bachelor degree or above is increasing,and the trend of village cadres becoming knowledgeable is obvious.At the same time,the human consumption in rural areas in my country is on the rise,especially for lowincome families.During the period,the human consumption rose by 38.29%.At the same time,there are significant regional differences in villagers’ human consumption.Second,compared with the village party secretary,the knowledge of the village director has a more obvious effect on the villagers’ human consumption.Knowledgeable village directors can reduce the proportion of villagers’ family human consumption by actively playing an exemplary role and establishing village norms.Third,through the analysis of regional heterogeneity,it is found that the negative impact of the knowledge of village cadres on the villagers’ human consumption is only significant in coastal rural areas,and has not played a role in inland rural areas.Fourth,the existence of clan network will weaken the effect of village cadres’ knowledge on villagers’ human consumption,and the larger the scale of clan network,the less diversity of clan,and the greater the weakening effect of clan network.At the same time,the moderating effect of the clan network only exists in the coastal rural areas.Based on the above conclusions,this paper puts forward the following policy recommendations.First,pay attention to the education of the village cadre team,by introducing high-quality talents to work at the grassroots level or paying attention to the inspection of the educational background in the selection of village cadres.Second,the selection of the village cadre team must meet the local development needs while adapting to the trend of knowledge-based village cadres.Third,emotional policy mobilization can be carried out with the help of the special “acquaintance society” network in rural areas.Fourth,comprehensive use of village norms to restrain villagers’ behavior.Fifth,deal with the relationship between the village cadres and the clan.
