A Study On China-Cambodia Political Cooperation From The Perspective Of The Community Of Shared Future For Mankind

On April 28,2019,China and Cambodia officially signed the Action Plan between the Government of the People’s Republic of China and the Royal Government of Cambodia on Building a China-Cambodia Community with a Shared Future(2019-2023).As the first bilateral community of shared future built by governments of different ideologies,the China-Cambodia community of shared future is exemplary.However,political cooperation is particularly important for overcoming ideological differences and building a community of shared future between China and Cambodia.This paper takes China-Cambodia political cooperation as the research object,and builds an analytical framework for China-Cambodia political cooperation based on the interpretation of the political connotation of the community of human destiny.Firstly,this paper analyzes the basis of China-Cambodia political cooperation from the perspective of a community with a shared future for mankind from two dimensions: historical inevitability and realistic feasibility.Secondly,the progress of political cooperation between the two countries since the building of the ChinaCambodia community of shared future is summarized from the perspectives of the cooperation environment,cooperation framework and cooperation outcomes.Finally,this paper analyzes the challenges faced by the political cooperation between the two countries in the process of building a China-Cambodia community of shared future from the international,regional and domestic perspectives.The main research conclusions of this paper include: the long-standing friendship between China and Cambodia provides historical inevitability for political cooperation under the perspective of China-Cambodia community of shared future,the strong geopolitical cooperability between China and Cambodia,and the high degree of alignment between the "Belt and Road" Initiative and the “Rectangular Strategy”,which makes the political cooperation under the construction of China-Cambodia community of shared future feasible.In the context of building a China-Cambodia community of shared future,the two countries have conducted close political cooperation,improved the environment and framework for such cooperation,promoted fruitful cooperation in infrastructure construction,economy and trade,security and culture,and then,promoted the building of a China-Cambodia community of shared future.In the process of building a China-Cambodia community of shared future,the political cooperation between the two countries is still interfered by some Western countries at the international level,doubted by some ASEAN members at the regional level,and affected by the three factors of government structural problems,opposition parties and non-governmental organizations at the domestic level.
