| The People’s Daily has published a set of data.Among the 270 million families in our country,30% of married women have experienced domestic violence.Statistics from the All-China Women’s Federation show that since 2004,the number of domestic violence complaints received by the Women’s Federation has continued to be around 40,000 to 50,000 each year.On average,a woman is beaten by her husband in 7.4 seconds, and 60% of women commit suicide because of domestic violence. In the face of atrocities, women have been abused an average of 35 times before they choose to call the police. When it comes to seeking third-party help, the alarm rate is only 9.5%.Of the 94,571 domestic violence cases, habeas corpus was applied for in only 84 cases.Various news and data show that the family life of women in my country is still facing great challenges at this stage. This study is based on the Guangdong Provincial Women’s Rights Protection and Information Service Station Project that I came into contact with during my professional internship. This project is undertaken by F Women and Children Information Service Center of Z City. The main target of the project is the women and children in need of assistance in Z City.Providing rights protection services for women and children in distress is one of the basic services of the project, and many of them are exposed to domestic violence. The author summarizes the service experience of the service station in helping women who are victims of domestic violence to defend their rights, and then finds that most women face the problem of divorce disputes. They are caught in the dilemma of lack of legal resources, unclear recognition of demands, confusion, and high psychological pressure. These predicaments make it difficult for them to get out of the impact of domestic violence, and at the same time ignore and damage their legitimate interests. Therefore, under the guidance of social support theory, the author takes a typical case of service in a service station as an example to carry out research. The author analyzes the network of resources available to women and identifies the stage of the victim of violence. The author comprehensively expounds the specific intervention behaviors such as family dispute mediation services, legal aid application services, and psychological consultation link services provided by social workers for clients. Finally, the author evaluates the service effect achieved in the whole practice process through the result evaluation.Through the research, the author draws the following reflections.First, women victims of domestic violence have potentially more supportive resources, but are unable to use them due to their own abilities. The involvement of social work can make women fully aware of their own support resources and help women connect to the resources they need to achieve the purpose of advocating their rights.Secondly, the altruistic professional value of social work, the professional concept of "helping others and self-help" and comprehensive professional methods can fully respect women’s choices when intervening in groups of women victims of domestic violence, and pay attention to the improvement of women’s abilities and future development. This is more in line with the needs of women who are victims of domestic violence.Furthermore, the closeness of social work, the effectiveness of resource links, the diversity of professional methods, and the broad scope of work can make up for the lack of social assistance in helping women victims of domestic violence to defend their rights. The author puts forward some suggestions based on the analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the comprehensive case service process and social work intervention in protecting the rights of women victims of domestic violence.First, starting from the social work profession,it is necessary to establish a work method of "taking the old to bring the new" to make up for the lack of young social workers’ life experience.Popularize marriage-themed workshops to enhance social workers’ service capabilities.Improve assessment methods and improve social work credibility.Assist the government to carry out legal publicity and family lectures to expand the scope of services.Use external supervision services to help social workers deal with negative emotions.Collaborate with government and social media resources to serve the publicity of events.Second, from the perspective of social policy, evaluate the social system, and establish the support system for the rights protection of women victims of domestic violence.Social work needs to strengthen typical anti-domestic violence propaganda and reduce social resistance to women’s rights protection against domestic violence.Social work exerts influence to promote the improvement of anti-domestic violence policies and regulations. |
