With the continuous advancement of industrialization and urbanization,a large number of rural surplus labors have poured into cities, resulting in excessive concentration of urban population and increasingly hollowing out of some rural areas,a large amount of land is abandoned, and the development of urban space tends to be saturated,in order to alleviate the contradiction between supply and demand of urban and rural construction land, stimulate the vitality of rural development, and coordinate the coordinated development of urban and rural areas,in some areas of China, the policy of "living together in the same village" has been implemented to guide farmers to "go upstairs".As an important measure for the great transformation of rural society during China’s social transformation,"combining villages and living together" has had an important impact on the development of rural areas and the changes in rural farmers’ lifestyles, and has also added a good opportunity to break through the bottleneck of "three rural" development."Cohabitation of villages" accelerates the pace of rural urbanization, but it also brings some negative problems. Therefore, this paper takes a case of a community of "combining villages and cohabitation" in Southwest Shandong Province as an example, and takes living space as the research object, and explores the impact of the reconstruction of space on the daily life of farmers, and the government-led top-down spatial planning brings about the reconstruction of farmers’ living space, the change of physical space leads to the change of living space of farmers, and at the same time, the spatial reconstruction also brings about spatial crisis.Based on this, some reasonable suggestions are given to point out the direction for the development of rural communities in Southwest Shandong, and have reference significance for the formulation and promulgation of relevant policies. This paper uses a variety of research methods such as non-participatory observation method,in-depth interview method and literature method to obtain research data. With the help of space production theory, the living space of "combining villages" is studied, and the impact of spatial reconstruction on the life of villagers in the community is studied.Space is not only a device for accommodating material, but also a collection of material space, spiritual space, and social space. After the "combination of villages",farmers moved to the resettlement area planned and constructed by the local government, and the physical space of farmers changed. As a perceptible material space,it is both the process of space practice and the result of space practice. The space as a representation is a reproducible space, which reflects the living conditions of the villagers after the relocation and the real life picture of the passive urbanization new rural community. This paper takes the community living space of “combining villages and cohabitation” as the research object, and studies the evolution characteristics of the spatial form of the L community space in Southwest Shandong from traditional to modern, and the three aspects of government leadership, capital to the countryside and farmers’ needs are the driving forces for the evolution of spatial form, according to the actual research situation and research theme, the research objects are further divided into livelihood space, living space, consumption space, cultural space and social network space, and they are described to show the current situation and changes of living space, and to show the reproduction of spatial relations generated by spatial practice in the principle of spatial production. The study found that "combining villages and living together" led farmers to concentrate, and the living space of farmers was transformed from traditional to modern, realizing the urbanization of farmers’ living space, however, urbanization should not only pay attention to the urbanization of physical space, but also pay attention to the urbanization of people, that is,the happiness of farmers’ lives after relocation. The change of farmers’ living space leads to the change of rural lifestyle, which has an important impact on Farmers’ life. The reconstruction of physical space brings about the reproduction of farmers’ living space, which is specific to the above five types of living space. However, the reconstruction of space also brings risks to farmers’ life, such as the discomfort of farmers’ living space when they go upstairs, the disruption of rural stable social network, and the aggravation of farmers’ economic burden, etc.,is not conducive to the urbanization of farmers, and brings some challenges to the development of transitional communities.Coordinate the forces of the government, the community, and individuals to solve the problems faced by the villagers in the community, promote the development of the rural community, and promote the construction of a new socialist countryside.
