With the passage of time,new generation information technologies such as the Internet of Things,5G,big data,and artificial intelligence are playing an increasingly important role in China’s agricultural production.The practical application level of digital systems such as farmland,grasslands,livestock,and aquatic products is also constantly improving.New professional farmers are the main body of China’s agriculture and rural development.Their information quality level is directly related to the scientific and technological level of China’s agricultural production and the modernization process of China’s agriculture.Therefore,the Chinese government has issued a series of relevant policy documents with the aim of cultivating a large number of high-quality farmers and promoting the construction of agricultural informatization in China.In the process of sorting out the relevant literature,we can see that the theoretical explanation of the concept of "new professional farmers’ information literacy" is not clear at present,and the research on "new professional farmers’ information literacy training" is also relatively lacking.Therefore,on the premise of clarifying the characteristics of the information literacy of new professional farmers in China,this study intends to conduct an empirical study on the information literacy of new professional farmers in China by means of questionnaires,interviews,etc.,and deeply analyze the problems and shortcomings in the current process of cultivating the information literacy of new professional farmers in China,and then propose corresponding improvement strategies,It is expected to provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for the information literacy construction of new professional farmers in Shandong Province.Through an investigation into Shandong Province,we can see that at present,the information literacy of new professional farmers in Shandong Province has shown a good training trend.On the whole,the average score of all indicators is above 4,indicating that the information literacy of new professional farmers in this area is relatively high.Among these people,new vocational farmers have achieved high scores in information awareness training,reaching 4.61 points.This indicates that most new vocational farmers can recognize the practical value and importance of agricultural information in the agricultural production process,reflecting the strong individual thirst for knowledge of new vocational farmers.Only in this way can they quickly grasp national agricultural policy information,agricultural production information,and other information,which helps them timely and effectively avoid market risks.However,currently there are also the following problems:(1)insufficient investment and unreasonable use of training funds,insufficient timely and sufficient training promotion,and failure to enable better development of training work.(2)There are great differences in information literacy training effect among training objects.For example,the information literacy level and training participation of female new professional farmers are relatively low,and the information literacy training effect of groups with low educational background is relatively poor.(3)The training content does not meet the practical requirements of new vocational farmers,for example,the training content on understanding information analysis,modern agricultural information technology,and skills in information application are clearly insufficient.In order to further promote the informatization construction of new professional farmers in Shandong Province and improve their information literacy,this paper considers them from the following perspectives:increase capital investment,standardize the use of funds;Increase publicity and create training opportunities;In terms of training targets,it is necessary to improve the social security system and attach importance to female new vocational farmers;Implement a teaching strategy of "individualized teaching" based on the characteristics of the trainees;Pay attention to the education level of the trainees and encourage individual trainees to continue their studies.In terms of training content:create a training environment to stimulate the information analysis ability of new vocational farmers;Pay attention to the needs of trainees and strengthen the cultivation of information knowledge for information professional farmers;Pay attention to cooperative learning and enhance the application level of information of new professional farmers.
