Research On The Governance Of "Sky High Price" Betrothal Gifts In Rural Areas

Betrothal gifts have always played an important role in the process of marriage between men and women.In recent years,with the aggravation of the imbalance between men and women in rural areas,the problem of unreasonable high betrothal gifts has become more and more prominent.With the rapid development of rural economy,the amount of rural betrothal gifts has also increased,which has become an unbearable economic burden for many rural families and seriously hindered the steady construction of a harmonious society.Therefore,on the one hand,we call for the return of betrothal gifts to their essential attributes;On the other hand,we should strengthen the governance of the problem of sky high price betrothal gifts in rural areas.Based on this,from the perspective of sociology and combined with previous research results,this paper attempts to deeply analyze the governance subject and reasonable and effective measures of the problem of sky high price bride price in rural areas.Firstly,by defining the literature review,this paper summarizes the concept of "sky high price" bride price.According to the well-defined concept,it finally selects the multi center governance theory as the basis of the paper.Secondly,based on the polycentric governance theory,the governance level of the government and the governance level of the village committee are selected at the multi-agent level,and the social security level of residents and the local marriage customs and moral restraint level are selected as independent variables for research.The most real data are collected through field questionnaire survey and relevant data are used,The relationship between control variables and independent variables was obtained by one-way ANOVA.Thirdly,the model is constructed by using multiple linear regression analysis,taking the severity of the problem of sky high price betrothal gifts in rural areas as the control variable,and adding the four variables of the government,village committee,social security and the level of moral constraints,so as to form a complete regression model.Through the test of the model,it is proved that the previous model results are true and effective.The data results show that the governance level of the government,the governance level of the village committee,the level of moral restraint and the local economic development have a significant impact on the severity of the problem of sky high price bride price in rural areas,and other variables have no significant impact on the severity of the problem of sky high price bride price in rural areas.Finally,based on the above findings,this paper puts forward the governance measures to reduce the problem of high price bride price in rural areas from four aspects:vigorously develop the rural economy,continuously improve farmers’ income,make farmers afford the expenditure of bride price,establish a grass-roots working group to regulate bride price disputes,and strengthen the governance and guidance of marriage customs.In the research process,the problem of rural sky high price betrothal gifts is investigated and analyzed,and the causes of rural sky high price betrothal gifts are clarified,which provides a scientific and reasonable decision-making theoretical basis for further governance of rural sky high price betrothal gifts.
