With the highly growth of China’s society, the issues of population aging is becoming very serious, and the development and reform of the pension insurance system are facing difficulties. The proportion of China’s population aged 60 and over reached 18.7% in the seventh census,of which the proportion of the population aged 65 and over accounted for13.5% of the total population,in March 2021,Premier Li Keqiang proposed in the government work report to improve insurance security and service functions, pay close attention to the development of pension insurance and long-term care insurance, and solve the problems of China’s old-age security system. At present,China’s pension system is the internationally used "three pillars" pension system: the first two and three pillars are the government-led social basic pension insurance;the supplementary pension plan and commercial pension insurance initiated by enterprises and institutions are generally not mandatory for individual voluntary participation. The guarantee strength of the first and second pillars has been limited to a certain extent with economic development, and the supplementary role played by the third pillar cannot be ignored more and more. Finally, this paper combines the results of the development theory, current situation and empirical analysis of commercial endowment insurance, and gives four suggestions: first, insurance companies should innovate commercial endowment insurance product types to match the needs of different customers;second, the state and the government should strengthen commercial endowment insurance management services, thereby increasing market demand;third, insurance companies should increase the publicity of commercial endowment insurance, increase investor education, and enhance residents’ insurance awareness;fourth, the government should promote the implementation of insurance tax preferential policies to increase per capita disposable income. |
