Research On The United Front Work Of The Communist Party Of China In Guangdong During The Anti-japanese War(1937-1945)

After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War,under the background of the second KMT cooperation,the local party organizations of CPC in Guangdong,under the leadership of the central government,judged the situation,correctly handled the relationship between the principle and flexibility of the Party’s united Front policy,formulated the united Front policy and strategy in accordance with the situation of the Anti-Japanese War in Guangdong,and carried out the united Front work creatively.Politically,in the Anti-Japanese base areas behind enemy lines where conditions permit,the "three thirds system" Anti-Japanese democratic regimes were established at all levels.In the course of building political power,the people’s basic political rights should be guaranteed,the enlightened gentry should be won over,and stubborn forces should be isolated.In terms of economy,it carried out a vigorous campaign of "reducing rent and interest rates" in the Anti-Japanese base areas behind enemy lines,and organized military and civilian production to save themselves and develop the commodity economy.Actively contacted patriotic Guangdong overseas Chinese to raise funds and help the people trapped in the war;In the aspect of culture,the left-wing cultural circles in Guangdong were united,and the thought of Anti-Japanese War and national salvation was propagated through advanced newspapers and periodicals.Organizing cultural groups to carry out colorful wartime literary and artistic activities in rural areas,front lines and the army.In the military field,party members were sent to the local forces of Yu Han mou,Mo Xiong and Zhang Yan through various channels to carry out political mobilization,so as to urge the local forces of Guangdong to persist in the war of resistance and progress.The effective united Front work of the CPC in Guangdong consolidated and united all classes and strata in Guangdong,making Guangdong the model area of the national United Front and the center of the Anti-Japanese and national salvation movement in South China,making great contributions to the final victory of the national Anti-Japanese War.During the period of total Anti-Japanese War,the theory and practice of the United Front of the CPC in Guangdong provided enlightenment for the united front work in the new era,that is,we must unswervingly adhere to the leadership of the CPC;The united Front must be placed at an important position in the work of the whole Party.Flexible and diversified united Front policies and strategies must be adopted.We must take safeguarding the interests of the masses as the breakthrough point.
