The new coronavirus has triggered calls from all walks of life to ban the consumption of wild animals, and the fasting of wild animals has once again become the focus of attention in society.Although the existing science has not confirmed that wild animals are the source of the new coronavirus, the public safety risks caused by this are worthy of deep consideration and cannot be avoided. From a new perspective of animal ethics, this paper examines animal ethics based on the risk of extinction of wild animal species on the one hand, and the risk of endangering human public safety on the other hand, and proposes animal risk ethics on the basis of animal liberation, animal rights, and animal welfare ethics.Due to the absence of public safety legislation in the current Wildlife Protection Law,the absence of risk principles, and the absence of risk prevention and control systems, under the new connotation of the era of fasting wild animals,it is required to revise the current wildlife legislation from the legislation. The lack of ethics of purpose, the lack of ethics of legislative principles, and the lack of ethics of legislative systems have given legislative responses. The time for legislation to ban wild animals is ripe, and it is urgent to revise the Wildlife Protection Law again. |
