When it comes to geo-strategic relevance,East-Asia is the most popular region in the realm.East-Asia is considered to be the jewel in the crown of the world’s powers.China,Japan,Korea,and Vietnam make up modern East Asia.East Asia is home to one-fifth of the world’s population,which makes it the most populous region.Because of the United States and China,the East Asian region is the most popular in international relations.The United States is the world’s hegemon and attempts to retain its hegemonic status by playing a major role in the East Asian region.Since the conclusion of the cold war,the United States has contained the United Socialist Soviet Republic(USSR),now Russia.Following the end of the cold,the United States attempts to keep China in control,which is viewed as a "rival." China,on the other hand,is a responsible stakeholder who firmly believes in peaceful coexistence.China has a significant role in ensuring East Asian peace and economic progress.Chinese officials believe in fair rivalry between the United States and China.The goal of this research is to find out what techniques the United States uses to compete with China in the region.In order to maintain its position and hegemonic status,the United States employs a variety of strategies and manipulates China’s public image.Furthermore,to identify the strategic objectives of the United States and China in East Asia that are driving both countries to compete,the United States and China both behave differently to achieve their objectives.A power transition is central to the United States’ strategic aims in the region.On the other hand,China’s strategic goals are peaceful cohabitation and economic interdependence through international and regional organizations.The goal of this research is to determine how the United States of America is strengthening and forming new security alliances with growing powers in the area,as well as the motivations behind this new approach.A central question and a series of sub-questions were established.What is the state of China-US strategic relations in East-Asia and what are the contributing factors between the two states in strategic competition?In attempting to address the primary question and sub-questions,the study’s findings demonstrate that the United States and China are both competing in the East Asia Region.The rivalry between the United States and China in East Asia creates an unstable environment.Through economic,hierarchical,and stability considerations,the United States establishes a strong position in the region.The regional alliance and other regional minorities are operating in an uncertain climate.China,on the other hand,acts responsibly as a stakeholder and contributes to a peaceful coexistence environment.China and other states that benefit from a stable environment.This harmonious coexistence is the sole reason East Asia has been peaceful for so long.China,in collaboration with regional and international institutions,is facilitating a peaceful transition of power in East Asia.China,according to the feminism school of thought,believes in equality and dignity.China has never attempted to undermine regional stability by forging a coercive alliance against anyone.Sub-question that leads to the final finding of this research study is: how does US-China strategic competition in East-Asia affect the Asia-Pacific regional security order?In an attempt to find an answer to this question,this research reveals that the competition between the United States and China influences the Asia-Pacific security order.The United States,with its tough policies,disrupts regional order and creates a difficult position for its alliances.The United States wants to destroy China’s peaceful image in the region by manipulating China’s image.As far as the region is concerned,China’s policy is to keep things as they are but never assuming hegemonic power.The research has been arranged into five chapters;in Chapter one,the study begins with precursory information about the research,such as the study’s objective,research questions,literature review,gap in the literature,and research methods.The second chapter has been entirely devoted to the theoretical framework within which "Power Transition Theory" has been discussed.The geo-strategic significance of East Asia from the standpoint of stakes has been examined in Chapter Three.The evolution of Sino-US rivalry has been discussed in detail in Chapter 4.The implications for the Asia-Pacific region are thoroughly examined in Chapter 5.Results,recommendations,and conclusions have been presented at the conclusion of this thesis. |
