The credibility of criminal identification is an important reflection of the operation of my country’s criminal justice system.However,in the process of deepening the reform of the current judicial identification management system,our country is facing the dilemma of insufficient credibility of criminal identification.With the development and progress of society,criminal identification plays an increasingly important role in the investigation stage.Most criminal cases need to obtain scientific and objective evidence materials through identification,and then make breakthroughs in the case.In the investigation stage,the factors that affect the credibility of criminal identification mainly include the functional orientation of identification,the operation status of the identification agency established in the investigation agency,the implementation of re-identification,and the external supervision of identification quality.And through the analysis and research of the criminal identification in the investigation stage of our country,it is found that there are still many imperfections.For example,the "integration of investigation and identification" model affects the objectivity and neutrality of identification,the problem of re-identification has not been well resolved,and the quality of criminal identification lacks an effective external supervision mechanism.If these problems are not well solved,it will affect the public’s psychological identity for criminal identification,and then affect the credibility of criminal identification and the reform and development of our country’s criminal justice.Therefore,in order to improve the credibility of criminal identification,we should take multiple measures such as clarifying the functional orientation of identification in the investigation stage,strengthening the neutrality and independence of the identification agency within the investigation agency,improving the re-evaluation system,and establishing and improving the external supervision mechanism for the quality of criminal identification.Promoting the identification of the investigation stage can truly play the role of providing objective and true scientific evidence for criminal cases,and better serve the follow-up review,prosecution and trial activities.The main text consists of four parts.details as follows:The first part is to put forward the problems related to the credibility of criminal identification in the investigation stage of our country.The first is a general introduct ion to the concept and connotation of the credibility of criminal identification in the investigation stage,the second is to summarize the characteristics of the criminal identification in the investigation stage and the internal relationship of credibility,and finally the significance of improving the credibility of criminal identification in the investigation stage is analyzed.The second part is to analyze the main factors that affect the credibility of criminal identification in the investigation stage of our country.Among them,the identification system in the investigation stage lacks a clear functional orientation,the integration of investigation and identification affects the neutrality and objectivity of criminal identification,the defects in the re-evaluation system in the investigation stage,and the lack of an effective external supervision mechanism for the quality of criminal identification in the investigation stage.The third part is the investigation of the criminal identification system of the extraterritorial civil law system and common law countries.It mainly examines the characteristics of the criminal forensic identification system in four typical countries of Germany,Japan,the United Kingdom and the United States,and concludes from it to ensure the independence and neutrality of identification agencies and appraisers,reasonably set up the right to initiate criminal identification,and continue to strengthen judicial identification.Implications for the agency’s accreditation work.The fourth part is the specific implementation path to improve the credibility of criminal identification in the investigation stage of our country.Based on the above analysis of the credibility of criminal identification in my country’s investigation stage and the summary of its existing problems,this paper proposes targeted measures to improve the credibility of criminal identification in my country’s investigation stage,so that identification in the investigation stage can truly serve criminal litigation activities and serve the interests of judicial justice.Realization provides real and reliable scientific evidence.
