Research On The Theory And Practice Of "World Federation Of Democratic Youth"

After the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War led by the United States and the Soviet Union,international prestige was unprecedentedly enhanced.The postwar situation was divided by Yalta Conference.The new global case has spawned several international organizations,among which the World Federation of Democratic Youth is one.The World Federation of Democratic Youth(WFDY)was founded on November 10,1945.It is a political international youth organization established by youth consultations of allies participating in the anti-fascist war.The member organizations of the World Youth Federation include more than 150 youth or student organizations,covering more than 100 countries in the world.In the 77-year history of the WFDY,due to the changes in the international situation and the complexity of its members,the organization presents different stages of development.The WFDY has gone through four stages of development,the beginning of 1945-1951 into the cold war vortex stage,1952-1962 in the rapid growth of the cold war stage,1962-1989 split into trough stage,since 1990,in the trough to adjust the setting of progress.As an international youth organization,the WFDY has the characteristics of a loose organizational structure.clear political purpose and communist youth as the main body.Since the 21 st century,the outbreak of the economic crisis,the rise of the extreme right-wing government and the intensification of local turmoil have made it a more profound understanding of capitalism and imperialism.The WFDY pointed out that the development of capitalism is unsustainable,and the extreme right forces,imperialism and fascism formed by it have caused various world problems.Capitalism caused discrimination and unfairness,and imperialism was the root of the refugee crisis,climate change and environmental pollution.The WFDY opposes capitalism’s oppression of youth in science,education,health,and imperialist intervention,occupation and war.Although the development of economic globalization provides opportunities for the modernization of developing countries,it also exacerbates the polarization between rich and poor in the world.The WFDY believes that globalization continues the old international economic order and is essentially a product of capitalism.The WFDY supports democracy,progress and peace movements by holding the World Festival of Youth and Students,holding seminars,issuing statements,and publishing magazines and posters.The practice of the WFDY in history is various in the maintenance of world peace,promoting youth friendship,protecting the rights of youth,against imperialism,against old and new colonialism,supporting democracy,and people’s self-determination movement has made contributions.Today,the WFDY is not only faced with the dual challenges of capitalism and imperialism but also faces many challenges in its development,and its influence in the world has declined.The WFDY actively takes measures to enhance organizational management capabilities,attract young people to participate in the struggle,and carry out multilateral cooperation with other international organizations to improve global influence,strive to run the World Youth Federation Festival well,unite more young people,and move forward for a more progressive and peaceful world.
