| The 19 th Congress of the Communist Party of China declared that socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.Under the historical orientation of the new era,the party and the state have put forward new and higher requirements for the construction of China’s socialist cultural power,that is,adhering to the guiding position of Marxism in the ideological field,strengthening cultural selfconfidence,and adhering to leading cultural construction with the core values of socialism.In addition,at the Sixth Plenary Session of the Nineteenth Central Committee,the party and the state emphasized that in terms of cultural construction,the situation in the ideological field of our country has undergone an overall and fundamental change,the cultural self-confidence of the whole party and the people of all ethnic groups in the country has been significantly enhanced,and the cohesion and centripetal force of the whole society have been greatly enhanced,providing a strong ideological guarantee and strong spiritual force for opening up a new situation in the cause of the party and the state in the new era.However,while reaping the achievements,it is not difficult to find that the road of cultural construction is not smooth,but full of dangers and challenges.With the deepening of economic and cultural globalization,consumerism has penetrated into our society,covering the production and life of our people,affecting the consumption experience,lifestyle,and purpose of survival of our people,and even invading the ideological depths of the whole people,affecting the improvement of China’s cultural soft power.The Chinese people’s praise of consumerism not only highlights the problems of the people’s material and spiritual confusion,freedom and lack of responsibility,but also exposes the fact that there is a cultural crisis lurking in our society.In the new era,The Chinese people are not only facing the problems of "what to consume" and "how to consume" to meet the basic material needs of people’s own survival,but also need to think about "how to achieve high-quality consumption" to meet people’s higher spiritual needs.Therefore,the discussion of the issue of consumerism will help to further enrich Marx’s research on consumption issues,construct a Marxist concept of consumption in line with the development of China in the new era,and provide reference and support for the construction of China’s cultural power,the sustainable development of a harmonious society,and the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.First of all,the study of the problem of modern consumerism must be based on the Marxist research on the problem of consumption,with the help of the classic consumption theory of Marxism and the theory of Western Marxism,the problem of consumerism must be examined,and the intrinsic nature,main characteristics and manifestations of consumerism must be clarified.Secondly,consumerism has now penetrated into the reality of people’s real life,which is related to human survival and all-round human development,so it is necessary to bring the consumption reality of the Chinese in the new era into the critical field of view,analyze the reasons for the spread of consumerism in China,and the manifestation of China in the new era,so as to reveal the alienation of people themselves brought about by the worship of consumerism,the alienation of social relations between people,and the alienation of the relationship between people and nature.Finally,the resistance to the popularity of consumerism in China can not be solved only through the means of criticism,so it is necessary to return the foothold of criticism to the shaping of cultural values and the optimization and upgrading of social production,by exposing the irrationality of consumerism ideology,guide people to rationally understand consumerism and actively reject consumerism;guide the fairness and justice of social consumption through the improvement of production quality and efficiency,and the green consumption belief of the whole people,so as to build a higher quality,fairer and more sustainable consumer culture in the new era. |
