| Gu Shengying was one of the leading pianists of the first generation of new China.She was gifted,hard-working and had a sincere heart for the music of her country.At the age of 19,she won the first gold medal for New China after the founding of the country,and later won the top prize for women in the Geneva International Competition,making her the most sought-after female pianist in China at that time.In this paper,we have selected Gu Shengying’s Liszt Op.25 No.1 "Devotion" as the focus of our study,and combined it with the background of her time and life experience,in order to better understand her unique personal style from her short but glorious artistic career and her exquisite piano performance.This paper is divided into three parts: "The Chinese Piano Poet","The Chinese Piano Poet","The Chinese Piano Poet","The Chinese Piano Poet","The Chinese Piano Poet",and "The Chinese Piano Poet".This paper is divided into three parts: a brief description of the development of Chinese piano art in the past hundred years,an analysis of Chinese "piano poet" Gu Shengying,and a study of Gu Shengying’s performance of the acoustic version of Liszt’s Op.25 No.1 "Devotion".Part Ⅰ: A review and analysis of the history of piano art in China in the twentieth century,with emphasis on the years 1949-1966,when Gu Shengying’s piano art flourished,including the development of professional piano education from 1949 to 1966,the exchange of piano art between China and abroad,and the growth of a new generation of Chinese pianists.The prosperous development of Chinese piano art during this period provided an indispensable foundation for Gu Shengying’s success.Part Ⅱ: Search for documents and materials related to Gu Shengying,and summarize his life and study experience,his achievements,and his musical activities.We will summarize the descriptions of Gu Shengying’s performance style from the recollections of her predecessors,and combine Gu Shengying’s recordings with her personal performance style,which is light and agile,natural and poetic,and sincere.Part Ⅲ: Analyze Liszt’s Op.25 No.1 "Devotion" by Gu Shengying as an example,and to understand the background,composer,structure,and harmonic tonality of"Devotion".After that,we used the visual analysis method to analyze and compare the"Devotion" performed by Gu Shengyin,Lang Lang and Agrizzi in terms of intensity,tempo,slow motion,and slow motion,with the help of the Internet digital platform(www.Vmus.net)created by Yang Jian of Shanghai Conservatory of Music."Through the visualization of velocity-intensity curve,IOI deviation curve,spectrograms and tables generated by the platform,we can analyze and compare the differences in intensity,speed and accentuation between Gu Shengying’s,Lang Lang’s and Argerich’s performances of "Devotion" and understand the poet-like performance style and the emotional characteristics of his inner respect. |
