As a free animation art form,stop-motion animation is more three-dimensional than traditional two-dimensional and three-dimensional animation through the fusion of material texture,creative inspiration and special effects,and its unrestrained expressiveness creates a novel audio-visual experience for the audience.This paper explores the creative expression of stop-motion animation with the theme of "Aphasia of Written",and finally completes the graduation short film "Aphasia of Written".The introductory section is a brief overview and analysis of the development history and artistic characteristics of stop-motion animation to clarify the ideas for the subsequent creative exploration in design practice.The first chapter begins with the selection of the title of "Aphasia of Written",explains the intention of the work through the director’s explanation,and analyzes the origin,representation and social effects of the phenomenon of Aphasia of Written,as well as explaining the conception of the characters,the choice of style and the formulation of the creation plan.The second chapter develops the content design of "Aphasia of Written",which focuses on five aspects: plot,characters,composition,action,and text.The second chapter explores the specific forms based on the timeline and spatial line,looking for creative footholds in terms of time intervals,rhythmic changes,perspective movements and dimensional changes respectively.The third chapter provides a detailed account and overall presentation of the creative process and final outcome of "Aphasia of Written".Finally,in the conclusion section,a review of the creative process will be conducted,and the creative expression methods and innovative ideas for stop motion animation will be summarized.
