Investigation And Research On The Phonology Of Guiyang Dialec

Guiyang is the capital of Guizhou Province,located in the the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau,the political,economic and cultural center of the province,and one of the important central cities in southwest China.As one of the important representatives of Southwest Mandarin,the study of Guiyang dialect is not only of great significance to the study of dialects in Guizhou,but also of great importance to a comprehensive understanding of Southwest Mandarin.This article takes Guiyang dialect as the research object,applies relevant theories such as traditional phonology,phonetics,and dialectology,and based on field research,comprehensively and systematically surveys and records the phonology of Guiyang dialect,describes the phonetic features of Guiyang dialect in a more in-depth and complete manner,and on this basis,makes a diachronic comparison between Guiyang dialect and the medieval sound,and analyzes the diachronic evolution of Guiyang dialect.In addition,this article also uses the relevant methods of experimental phonetics,using software such as Praat and Launch UMini SpLb to produce acoustic distribution maps and data comparison tables,to explore the phonetic problems in Guiyang dialect,with the aim of more in-depth and detailed restoration of the overall phonetic appearance and pronunciation characteristics of Guiyang dialect.This paper is mainly divided into five parts.The first part is an introduction,which mainly introduces the geography,humanities,history,and other basic conditions of Guiyang City,providing a relatively comprehensive explanation of the development and changes of Guiyang City.At the same time,it also explains the background and significance of the topic selection,relevant research status,research methods,and corpus sources.The second part comprehensively describes the phonetic system of Guiyang dialect from three aspects of sound,rhyme,and tone,supplemented by relevant graphical data from experimental phonetics,and explores several important phonetic issues of Guiyang dialect from the perspective of experimental phonetics,such as the pronunciation characteristics and morphology of vowels [i][u] [y],the vowel pattern and pronunciation characteristics of Guiyang dialect,and tone characteristics,in order to better reveal the phonetic characteristics of Guiyang dialect.The third part mainly makes a longitudinal comparison between Guiyang dialect and medieval sounds,showing the characteristics and development rules of the phonetic system of Guiyang dialect from a diachronic perspective.The fourth part is a comparison between Guiyang dialect and Zunyi dialect.Due to its geographical proximity to Guiyang,Zunyi has long been under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province in terms of administrative divisions.By comparing the two dialect points,this article finds that Guiyang dialect is moving closer to Putonghua significantly faster than Zunyi.The fifth part focuses on exploring several special phonetic problems in Guiyang dialect.Based on data from the history of immigrants,this paper analyzes the special situation of the initial consonant aspirating in Guiyang dialect,the emergence of the pinch tone,and the evolution of the entering tone characters,in order to explore the relationship between immigrants and the formation of the dialect in Guiyang,and through a comparison with today’s Guiyang dialect,explores the historical,economic,and other reasons that led to the phonetic evolution.
