| Dai Xu,a low-level official in Southern Song Dynasty,active in the two dynasties of Ningzong and Lizong.He served as the chief clerk of Ding Hai county,the scholar in the Imperial College,the official responsible for martial arts and etiquette,the official arranging documentary materials inarchives,sub-prefect in Xinzhou,and finally the counselor The Song Dynasty dispatching to Hunan.Under the strict recommendation system of the Southern Song Dynasty,in order to be prompt,Dai Xu positively built contacts with powerful ministers.He was the epitome of many lower-class officials,and his choice represented the choice of most lower-class officials.This paper is divided into three chapters.Chapter one,the family and life examination is divided into familybackground,life examination and Si ku officials’ judge on Dai Xu internally dependent on powerful officials and externally dependent on noble officials three sections.In the first section,some relevant doubts existing in previous research are researched and supplemented.The second section focuses on Dai Xu’s career in the Southern Song Dynasty under the recommendation system.Dai Xu did not have a strong family background or outstanding literary talent.To get ahead,he had to make active use of various connections and build a network of contacts.From the chief clerk of Ding Hai county,to the official responsible for etiquette,and then to sub-prefect in Xinzhou,he ascended the official ranks,witnessing the realization of Da i Xu’s dream,and also reflecting the dark reality that power ministers were incharge and couldonly rely on power ministers to make a difference.The third section discusses the judgment of Si ku officials’ judge on Dai Xu internally dependent on powerful officias and externally dependent on noble officials in combination with the customs at that time.Chapter two,the association bewteen Dai Xu and his friends is divided into official colleagues,fellow classmates following Ye Shi,countrymen from Yong Jia and junior four sections.The first section explores Dai Xu’s communication with his colleagues.Superiors Shi Mi yuan and Cheng Bi both provide support for Dai Xu’s official career.Peers Wu Ying and Huang Xi lu met Dai Xu in Ding Hai County and maintained good communication after that.Dai Xu composed a poem seeing Hu Meng yu off when he was relegated.The second and third sections are the focus of this chapter,discussing Dai Xu’s fellow classmates following Ye Shi and countrymen from Yong Jia.Yong Jia has outstanding people and many Jiang-hu poets live there.In addition,Ye Shi had many students,and most of whom were living in Yong Jia,So these two categories overlap.The fourth section discusses Dai Xu’s communication with his juniors.Chapter three,Huan Chuan collection’s editions,content is divided into versions textual research,poems and articals of Huan Chuan collection three sections.In the first section,there are two extant copies of Huan chuan Collection.One is the copy of the Si Ku Quan Shu of Wen yuan Pavilion and the other is the copy of Jing Xiang Lou compiled by Huang Qun.There is the only existing block-printed edition from Jing Xiang Lou compiled by Huang Qun.The second section studies the poems of Huan Chuan Collection,which can be divided into natural landscape poems,complimentary singing poems,mourning poems and instant lyric poems.The third section studies the articals of Huan Chuan Collection,which can be divided into argumentative essays,narrative essays and lyrical essays.Chapter four,Huan Chuan collection’s is divided into poems and articals of Huan Chuan collection,artistic charactersticsis three sections.The first and second sections study on artistic charactersticsis of poems and articals of Huan Chuan collection.The third section studies the similarities and differences between Dai Xu’s poems and Si Ling’s poems,and between Dai Xu’s articals and Ye Shi’s.There are slight differences between Dai Xu’s poems and Si Ling’s poems on the basis of "Qing".The former takes carving as the work,while the latter focuses on the lean.Dai Xu inherited Ye Shi’s literary ideas in reasoning and lyric prose,which is almost the same as Ye Shi’s.However,in narrative prose,Dai Xu better carried forward the organic unity of narration,description and discussion. |
