On The Narrative Elements Of Contemporary Fiber Art Creation

In the context of contemporary art,fiber art has both the commonalities and particularities of contemporary art.The biggest feature is that artists strive to use fiber art works as an artistic medium to express ideas in multiple dimensions.Therefore,how to use creative elements to describe concepts in contemporary fiber art creation is the main issue discussed in this article.The article explores the issue of contemporary fiber art creation based on the relevant theories of narratology.Based on the discussion of literary narrative,visual narrative and their correlation,this paper discusses the axiology of visual narrative for artistic works.At the same time,from the perspective of fiber art,we explored the presentation of its conceptual nature in the contemporary art perspective,and conducted in-depth research and reflection on the narrative nature of contemporary fiber art as an art medium from aspects such as materials,technology,form,size,and time.Discuss the role of the story behind the material in the work from the perspectives of creators and viewers;The implicit technicality in works often directly strikes at ideas;The narrative of form is divided into three parts: the familiarity of formation,the interactivity of form,and the unity of form and form;In terms of size,there are three forms of expression in contemporary art: amplification,restoration,and reduction,all of which bring different sensations;At this contemporary time point,different artists present different fiber art works on traditional Chinese landscape themes.Finally,through the practice of the author’s series of works,a positive response was made to the aforementioned theoretical exploration.
