| In 2011,China Contemporary Photography ushered in the first official selection and discussion.The "TOP 20 · China Contemporary Photography Exhibition" was launched in Hangzhou,aiming to explore 20 photography practitioners with cutting-edge vision and lay the foundation for the development of contemporary photography in China through selection..In the same year,other important evaluations of contemporary photography in China also found their development direction in the previous practice or two,and the list of several evaluations and awards began to overlap in that year.Since the beginning of the 21 st century,conceptual photography and avant-garde photography in China have accumulated for ten years.Now,under the name of "contemporary photography",we are gathered together,which is a key timeline and important opportunity for the development of Chinese photography and the integration of Chinese photography with the West.After ten years of development,the sequence of contemporary Chinese photography has gradually enriched,and behind its prosperity,many lingering problems have also arisen.This article mainly takes the selection and awards of Chinese contemporary photography from 2011 to 2021 as an important clue to sort out the development of Chinese contemporary photography.On the one hand,these lists are based on academic thinking between non-governmental organizations and officials,and on the other hand,the intersection of different perspectives makes it easier to extract the development of contemporary photography in China.With the selection and awards,exhibitions,publications,theories,etc.have undergone even more dramatic changes in the past decade.After this change,it not only reflects technological progress and the possibility of extending the form of photographic works,but also provides a real opportunity for the discussion of photography to keep up with the Western sequence: photography in the media era has shifted to photography under the art gallery system.The text is divided into four parts: The first part describes the development of Chinese contemporary photography in 2011-2021,establishing a relationship between Chinese contemporary photography and TOP20;The second part focuses on the important exploration and progress of photography practitioners in the ontological language of photography during the past decade;The third part focuses on the promotion of the important selection of Chinese contemporary photography to Chinese contemporary photography,and the academic research perspective under the interwoven list;The fourth part will discuss how contemporary photography participates in the interaction between photography theory and photography education.The last part is the conclusion.The appendix is a chronicle of contemporary Chinese photography compiled by the author. |
