| Make rubbings from the cliff inscriptions is a very ancient and unique traditional copying technique in Chinese civilisation,which was born out of the environment of civilisation transmission and has continued to be used in the spread and exchange of culture.This paper use the method of the cliff inscriptions as a basis for inquiry into the creation of artistic practice,re-examining the role of the traditional context of creative practice and the interconnectedness of the human heart,and returning to the current creative context to explore new practices.The paper is based on a combination of observational analysis,case study analysis and practical methods,and emphasises a sense of reflection around human spirituality.Firstly,the concept of the cliff inscriptions and its historical origins are briefly outlined,and then its development in civilizational bearing is taken as the basis for reflection and inquiry.Secondly,we attempt to analyse the interconnection between the rubbings of the cliff inscriptions and the human heart from multiple perspectives,taking the case study as an example,by analysing and exploring the civilizational bearing of cliff inscriptions and the characteristics of their artistic style in the West Lake area of Hangzhou,and by analysing and considering the internal and external’form and spirit’ of a specific cliff relic,focusing on the following questions The focus is on the relationship between traditional reproduction techniques in the current visual context and their relationship with artistic practice,and the possibility of transcending the limitations of traditional reproduction techniques.Finally,we will combine the coherence of traditional reproduction techniques with creative practice,and experiment and explore more in the diverse visual contexts of artistic creation. |
