| The development of science and technology in the last century brought mankind to the era of media explosion,which gave birth to media studies,which mainly studies the mass communication of media as information carriers.Narratology also realized at this time that it was impossible to ignore the role of the inherent properties of the medium independent of language on the psychological representation of narrative experience,so it turned to cross-media narrative research.Research on the expression of art media is currently concentrated on new media such as pictures,movies,and video games.There are fewer studies on ceramic narratives and most of them focus on ceramic images.This paper mainly takes contemporary ceramic works as the research object to find the relationship between ceramic media and narrative: how artists use ceramic media to construct individual narratives in creative practice and how the inherent properties of ceramic materials are used by artists in narrative expression.Recognition of ceramic materials and a new narrative experience.This paper is divided into five parts: introduction and four chapters.The introduction mainly discusses the research background,purpose,significance,method,innovation and literature review of this paper.The first chapter introduces the concept of cross-media narrative creation,including its connotation and etymology explanation,and briefly introduces the ceramic art at that time from the perspective of traditional Chinese ceramics—mainly from the narrative functions of ceramic sculptures and image narratives of ceramic paintings.characteristics,material information and background culture to modern ceramics;the second chapter mainly examines the narrative of ceramic materials—the transformation between different forms of soil,so as to reflect the instrumental subsidiary status of ceramic materials to independent The transformation of subjectivity status;the third chapter analyzes the application of cross-media narrative in contemporary ceramic art creation,taking the works of contemporary ceramic artists as examples,analyzing how they combine other media and exhibition forms to carry out cross-media creative practice,which shows the single The limitations of the medium and demonstrate the necessity of cross-media,as well as the possible future form of ceramic art: ceramic art intervenes in metaverse.The fourth chapter is the author’s creative practice,using the creative method of cross-media narrative to create practice with the theme of "flame".The cross-media narrative ceramic art works present a variety of ceramic art forms,which not only re-understand the materials,but also help complete individual narratives,increase the channels to experience the world,and stimulate the vitality of contemporary ceramic art. |
