With the continuous development of society,more and more people realize that urban culture plays a crucial role in the sustainable construction and development of the city.The construction of urban culture also contributes to the establishment of national cultural confidence and the inheritance and innovation of urban context.The visual design of city culture has an important impact on the publicity of city brand and the presentation of city image.With the development of brand economy and the progress of digital technology,the production of urban cultural vision is facing new challenges.The multi-subjects of the city also have different demands and understandings on the presentation of urban cultural vision.However,at present,there is often a single design form and Angle of view,the lack of identification and attraction,the lack of deep spiritual thinking and so on.Therefore,how to better transform urban culture into a visual image in line with contemporary context and market environment through design strategies and means,so as to more effectively attract public attention to urban culture,promote urban culture,and help urban construction has become an important topic.This paper adopts the research idea of combining theory construction and practice test,and through literature research,case analysis,comparative research,experimental research and questionnaire research and other research methods,to explore the strategies and methods for the translation design of urban cultural visual elements based on regional characteristics.The research of this paper includes the following aspects: First,it defines and analyzes the related concepts of urban culture,cultural translation and visual elements based on regional characteristics,and discusses the value of urban culture based on regional characteristics in the contemporary era and the new trend of urban cultural visual design under the prevalence of brand economy and digital age.Secondly,the selection method,translation method and translation regeneration path of urban cultural visual elements are studied and analyzed.Thirdly,it discusses the multiple values,design principles,design methods and strategies of urban cultural visual design.In the translation design of urban cultural visual elements,it should adopt the design methods of extracting the theme symbols of urban culture,enabling the interactive communication of urban culture,and focusing on the narration of urban cultural experience.At the same time,we should strengthen the integration of urban cultural resources led by the government,establish an open decision-making design platform,establish a sound design evaluation,maintenance and optimization mechanism,and adhere to the design strategy of dynamic urban cultural visual production mode.Finally,according to the conclusions of the research,the design practice is carried out,and the urban culture contained in the daily life of Shanghai from the Republic of China to modern times is carried out to test the practicability and feasibility of the research results.This article aims to enrich our country in the field of urban cultural visual design design design theory,for other cities in urban cultural visual design to provide new ideas,to help our city culture inheritance,construction,development and promotion.
