| The origin of Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty and Buddhism led to the development and prosperity of Buddhist culture in the Sui Dynasty,and the prevalence of copying scriptures was flourishing.Calligraphy in the Sui Dynasty was handed down to the Six Dynasties,the Northern and Southern Dynasties,and was a transitional stage in the development of regular script.The development of Buddhist calligraphy in the Sui Dynasty had a broad platform and space.Scripture writing calligraphy is the main form of existing ink calligraphy in the Sui Dynasty.The calligraphy monks of the Sui Dynasty played a connecting role in the process of integrating the southern and northern styles of calligraphy,and their influence on the activities of writing scriptures also promoted the integration of the southern and northern styles of calligraphy.Stone carved Buddhist scriptures are also a form of expression in the calligraphy of monks in the Sui Dynasty,represented by the "Fangshan Yunju Temple Stone Sutra-Sui Dynasty".This article attempts to conduct a study of the calligraphy of monks in the Sui Dynasty.By discussing the existence and development of monk calligraphy,the style and aesthetic orientation of monk calligraphy,the main calligraphy and aesthetic views of monks in the Sui Dynasty,and the inscription calligraphy of monks in the Sui Dynasty,it explores the value and impact of monk calligraphy in the Sui Dynasty. |
