Magnolia Psalms is a typical National Opera in China in the past 20 years.It is composed by composer Guan Xia and lyricist Liu Lin.It tells the classic folk story of Mulan,who disguised herself as a man and joined the army in place of her father.It praises Mulan for her heroism in defending her country and her dedication,and eulogizes Mulan for his traditional virtues of loyalty,filial piety and kindness,carried forward the great national spirit of China.This work integrates the elements of Chinese national music into the western-style opera,endows the national music with a new way of expression,and at the same time,this Chinese native opera has a profound historical and cultural connotation.Song selection My love will be with you for life is a classic soprano.This article will take this song selection as the key research object to expand the elaboration,first of all,this paper gives a brief introduction to the background,the composer and the plot of the Chinese Opera Magnolia Psalms,based on the development of Chinese opera,and then through the selection of My love will be with you for life,the music section and singing techniques for a specific analysis,in-depth analysis of the selection of the music structure,so that the author better understand,grasp the works.Singing technique analysis is an important part of this paper,mainly from the use of breath,enunciating words,emotional expression of these three aspects and combined with their own singing experience to carry out specific singing inquiry.In the end,the author summarizes the whole article,briefly describes the influence of the opera Magnolia Psalms on Chinese opera,and at the same time,discusses the author’s achievements in writing,it is also hoped that this article can provide some theoretical reference for the singer’s actual stage singing.
